My 6yo son attended a week of summer camp here and we had a really heart-warming, wonderful experience. He needed some special help getting settled in and Coach Rorie and her team were incredibly receptive to his needs and made sure he had an amazing experience. I can't say enough wonderful things about Rorie--I was/am very grateful for her kindness and adaptability, and definitely plan to be back in the future!
The assistants need to face the kids when they are demonstrating a new movement and to re-show the movement. Remind them to pay attention to every child, not just the kids who already know the movement. They all need positive feedback over and over! Thank you!
We had an extremely negative experience with the team coaches/staff. With so many other options in the area, I would not recommend this gym.
If you want a no hassle party, where staff are engaged with the kids, checking in with host about what will happen next, then have a kids party at Dynamic Gymnastics. They were set up early, met us at the door, set up food, decorations and we're so efficient. Coach Rorie your team rocks.
My child attended a camp and had a poor experience. She injured her foot pretty badly and was not provided ice. She ended up having to miss the last two days of camp due to the injury and no one called or followed up, even after my husband sent an email about it. My child reported that staff told her to “stop having a hissy fit” when she was telling them she was in pain. Again, staff never called me or followed up at all. Her foot was legitimately hurt to the point she had difficulty walking and putting pressure on it.
We think this gym is wonderful. The staff is very kind, knowledgeable and professional. The coaches for the boys classes do an excellent job.
Love, love, love the adult open gym here in the evenings. It's hard to find places to practice as an adult, but this gym has a great community, nice equipment in the team gym, and helpful staff with drills and corrections for any skill you might be working on.
Most of the classes my daughter was really pleased with, but when it was time to move up she was only in the novice class twice, and then the coaches moved her back down. When we asked why, they said it was an office mistake. My daughter was frustrated because the messages the coaches gave her were inconsistent. Also, each class starts with all levels warming up together and a game. At age 11, my daughter did not enjoy the game with the little kids and wished they could just get started on the equipment. Overall, though, I came away with a generally favorable impression. I appreciated the month-to-month admission.
My granddaughter went to dynamic gymnastics in Baileys crossroads. Her first day she was so excited and loved it. However, I noticed the instructors only helped a few of the girls and ignored most of the class not once but every Saturday. My granddaughter hurt her arm really bad trying to do a back flip on her own. No one noticed and no one cared when told to an instructor. No supervision 90 percent of the time!
There are Better Facilities and Coaches. This place is Just a notch above a tumbling class. This is a place for your child to burn off energy rather than build and enhance skills for competition. We were there for over 3 months and her first class mirrored her last. We have already found a new Facility and she has learned more in just 2 classes. She also gets way more one on one time and their gym is 50 times larger. Keep looking; trust me you can find better. Just being honest. They are just average.
