One of my favorite bars in Nola. Seems well organized, service is top tier. Was nervous seeing the servers in their classy white jackets, perfectly groomed beards but everyone seems attentive and diligent in efforts to provide all guests with a smooth, memorable experience. Moroccan Cobbler was the envy of the whole table, you can smell the rose petals and rose water from the bar. It’s a subtle smoky, spiciness but sweet at the same time. The Sazerac seemed popular, smelled amazing and so smooth. You really can’t go wrong with anything here. Immaculate bathrooms. Definitely becoming a regular spot for me
Small bar with loads of character. Breakfast was awesome. Sazerac and French 75 the cognac variety were perfect. As classic of a location as you will find.
Highe end bar with sophisticated ambience and specialty craft cocktails. Priced accordingly, but come with prompt courteous service in period attire. Specializes in gin and rye, with other sections available. Check out the mardi gras museum upstairs when it's open.
High end bar with fantastic drinks and snacks. The French 75 drink was, as expected, exquisite. The Aviation they made was even better! I can't say enough about the Gougeres. Absolutely amazing! Crispy and warm on the outside and gooey and cheesey inside. Perfect pairing with the drinks.
The headliner cocktail is delicious of course, but everything is great. A long-time institution. Bar snacks are delicious. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable. Also, there is a “secret” tiki drink list. Just ask!
French 75 proves that it deserved it's James Beard award in every drink they serve. Each cocktail is carefully prepared and tastes wonderful. The namesake cocktail, the French 75, is their keynote cocktail and is maybe the best iteration of this you'll ever enjoy. Be sure to come during off hours as tables and the bar itself full up quickly. The Bangkok Yacht Club is among the best house cocktails I've ever enjoyed so give that a shot.
Excellent eating experience. Great food and servers. Must see museum upstairs after dinner. Chow
I was surprised by the limited cocktail menu and preformed garnishes that don’t impart and flavor or aroma to the cocktails. We went out of our way to visit this bar and it was a bit disappointing. Suggest not ordering from the menu. We didn’t try the food, though it’s probably decent as we enjoyed dinner in one of the other rooms on a separate night.
I attended a private function here upstairs. It was a very nice experience. The upstairs is a series of beautiful rooms with a lovely balcony overlooking Bourbon St. The appetizers were delicious and very elegantly presented. I did not get to experience any of the dinners or the downstairs other than walking through. I have to say it looked beautiful. The atmosphere seemed a bit stuffy. It was however a summer weekday and not very busy so it could be a very different place at other times. I would love try it again on my next visit.
Arnaud's is a tourist destination for sure, but it is a place I would absolutely go to again. Our Captain Linda was fabulous and kind and patient with our questions. We had 10:45am brunch reservations and were seated immediately and left in time to get to our 1pm show at the Saenger. Definitely a must go!
