This was my first time here and was referred with a glowing review. Immediately when I walked in— the front desk was incredibly rude throughout the whole check-in process. As I waited for a solid hour past my scheduled appointment I told the front desk there was someone’s urine in a cup on the sink and from their response they didn’t care. Once I met the doctor who kept cutting me off when asked about my life and what brought me here— I asked to be prescribed on PReP. I was then told that the practice deemed it ineffective and wouldn’t prescribe me. I pressed him on it and was told I could be referred to a center for infectious diseases. When I was told to strip my clothes I was asked about my tattoos. One of them are bolt cutters. He asked “Why?” and I said, “because they break chains”. He said “What chains?” I said, “My trauma.” and I laughed it off. He said, “Trauma you did?” I had no response but to awkwardly laugh. I’m gay from the Deep South of Louisiana, which was spoken about when introducing ourselves. It was such a rude and unprofessional thing to say. I will add that the nurses were overwhelmed and unprofessional. I had a nurse bust in my room to trade places with the nurse with no explanation while I was half naked strapped to an EKG. After, she told me to give them a sample of urine and I can leave. I did just that. I get a call a few minutes after from the front desk. The front desk yells at me to come back. I was confused as to why but apologized and added that I’ll turn around. The building was locked and when I called them it was then past their operating hours so no one answered. I left and have no plans to return. I have lived in NYC for 6 years and have never been treated this poorly by a medical staff. This annual checkup was a farce. I regret ever going. If anyone from this practice reads this do not contact me whatsoever. I have no energy to relay this feedback to you. My hope in writing this is that you can sit with yourselves on what a terrible performance your skill set is when dealing with a new patient and strive to do better for the next one.
Dr Arnold Weg is compassionate and patient and worth the wait. He cares for my elderly mother. His staff however do not represent him well. They are rude, hang up abruptly and while you are in mid sentence and consistently put calls on hold for long stretches. The assistance from the staff is a total disconnect from Dr Weg's approach and would be very concerning in an emergency situation. The doctor deserves more stars, but his staff detracts from the care experience. Dr Weg, please do something about your staff. Please read the reviews. The comments about them are consistently poor.
Dr Weg is an amazing Dr. Dr's nowadays don't spend the time to go over your patient history and just chat with you or ask your background and what you do. He genuinely cares. He makes it seem like he knows exactly who you are, even though I see him once every year And I am sure he has hundreds of patients, if not thousands The front staff can use a little bit attitude adjustments and actually act like they care. But, this does not speak to his bed sides manner and his ability to do his work. Great!
Excellent Doctor. He is absolutely great always treats his patients with care. Compassionate. I would highly recommend him. He is truly a 10 star rating. From .Me. Mrs. Estrella
