Around The Town Moving & Storage

This low review is well overdue. I have used this moving company on 3 separate occasions for local moves with the last one not being the charm. In September 2021 I hired this company to move my belongings to a storage unit and to a private home. Since my belongings were divided I was not aware that a particular box was missing. It was not until I moved to my new residence in 2022, which I did privately no other business was solicited to move this round, that I noticed a box that contained my VitaMix 5200, costly textbooks and an easel were missing. I immediately called this company and explained in complete duress giving notice of missing items. I was met with derisive attitude and hung up on to which I forwarded my grievance in the form of an email listing the items to the owner. Called again and emailed again. No response was reciprocated. Now as to what happened to my belongings, I don’t know, but notions of damage or theft top rank the list of possibilities. I am thoroughly put off by the careless mismanagement, lack of recourse, or mentionable customer service interventions. Once more the thought that someone stole from me especially someone that was tipped in addition to paid services rendered, really boils my blood. I have spent over $1500 to this company over the years. And yes I may be outside my insurance claim period but this review will leave an indelible permanent stain. And if someone reads these words and learns about my experience it could serve as a cautionary tale that will deters one, two or more from choosing this company and business with their hard earned belongings. And for that, it’s worth the share.
