I give this locksmith a 5 star in service and knowledge of the rep! Ricky was so thorough and patient with me while explaining the process! Not to mention that it cost me just a fraction of what the car dealership was charging me to have a master key cut and the re-programming! I highly recommend this company! The locksmiths at Artie's are awesome! Best locksmith service I've used, and I've used quite a few. I needed to get a copy of my work van key and fob 2021 Chevy Express, which they made and programmed quickly. The locksmith there showed me functions on my key fob while testing that I didn't even know I had! Like remote start and a button that only unlocks the cargo door. I had seen the buttons there but never paid any mind to them, I only needed to know how to get in it and go lol I was so pleased with the quality of the service that I went back for my motorcycle key to be copies. Unfortunately, when I got home and tested it, it did not work. I was frustrated, but wanted to give them an opportunity to make it right. They went above and beyond in doing so. Not only was he able to fix the key that he copied so that it would work I was worried that I wouldn't be able to use THAT copy, which was a special one, and have to get another copy made, but he even made a second bare metal key, which he gave me to test, then let me keep at no extra charge. I can't say enough good things about this shop and it's employees the ones I have met anyway, sorry, I can't remember any specific names. They were friendly, polite, professional, and fast; everything you could ask for in a locksmith. I haven't mentioned price because they seem about average for a locksmith in the area, but you get what you pay for and they provide way above average service for that average price. Still way cheaper than a dealer though. Two thumbs up!!
I could not recommend Artie's more highly. Not only were they the cheapest around, Ricky was by far the friendliest and easiest to work with. I needed a second key fob and he delivered quickly for $100 cheaper than anyone else. We just moved to the area, and I'm glad to have found a new locksmith I can trust.
Going here was such a great experience. I had a bit of a unique situation where the original key for my car had been destroyed and the backup copy I had made by the dealer didn't work properly. The fob worked, but the emergency key didn't. I called in on a Thursday, they gave me a quote and placed an order for a new key remote to replace the lost one and it arrived the following Monday. I went in and they were so helpful and explained every step. Not only did they pair the new remote, they also fixed the dealer key as well. They stuck to the quoted price despite the extra hassle and I was out in about 45 minutes. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you guys so much!
Ricky saved me hundreds of dollars on my car key compared to the price offered by my car dealership. My remote car key fob locked itself in my car in my garage which is supposed to be impossible so I wanted an additional fob to keep at home in case I got locked out again. My dealer quoted me $600 for replacement fob plus programming. I called Artie's to see if they were less expensive. Rick suggested a much cheaper option than replacing the entire fob. He said there was a spare key inside my fob that could open the outside car door, and for $50 he could make a copy of that key to keep at home. It wouldn't start the car but it would unlock the door which was perfect for my needs. So he saved me $550. Thank you Ricky!
I've had two key fobs programmed and cut for a jeep and Hyundai. Perfect without issue.Half price of dealer quote. Nice, efficient, professional. Highly recommend. My go-to locksmith now. Happy to support local small business.
My keys were lost and it pretty much had my life. Two cars, home, parents' home, etc. Ricky @ Artie's Lock and Key was incredibly helpful in working with both my older Hyundai and newer RAM. Forever patient and super fast, there's a reason why Artie's has been in Fairfax for decades and Ricky did a great job in the rain and cold getting me back to whole. Will definitely recommend to anyone with the need for new keys or replace lost ones.
Had to replace a car key fob. Ricky provided an accurate quote, ordered the replacement fob and when it arrived programmed the new fob and cut the key and had me out the door in less than an hour. Work was done efficiently and the cost was very reasonable. A big THANK YOU to Ricky and Artie's Lock and Key.
This was the second time I've used Artie's Lock and Key, and both times I've been really pleased. Today, I needed a new key FOB made and repairs made to a second, and Ricky helped me out. He was courteous and professional, and had me out the door in no time. Great service, I will use again and highly recommend this business.
Excellent friendly service. Ricky at Artie’s was able and willing to program a key and remote I’d purchased on ebay for a Hyundai. They also had the Legit Hyundai key/remote in the event the one I brought in failed. Ricky suggested trying programing first so that I could at least return it if it wasn’t compatible. Fortunately programing was successful and Ricky then cut the physical blade key as well. The price was reasonable, service was friendly and thorough. I will use and recommend Arties for future locksmith needs.
