Such a lovely frame shop/ gallery store, the owner has been part of the Claremont art community for over 20 years. We purchased a Tony sheets painting and got it framed best work I have seen, museum quality work worth every penny. If you are in town stop by this hidden gem to appreciate some great artwork you might fall in love with an art piece like we did.
Our family has gone to Artist Trait for 30 years for all of our framing needs. From the smallest pictures to some very large ones, Walter at Artist Trait is, hands down, the best. His quality is the finest, his judgment is impeccable, he finishes the pictures when they were promised, and his prices are reasonable. I drive from Ojai to Claremont to get the highest quality framing, and Artist Trait always delivers. Simply the finest!
Artist Trait is our go-to source for the professional framing of artwork and family photographs. Walter, the owner, and his assistant, James, are highly skilled, and work with you to select a frame and mat that will enhance your artwork or photo. Artist Trait is also an excellent source for the work of artist's with a connection to Claremont, CA, including, for instance, Milford Zornes and Susan Hertel. A+ for the quality of work, professionalism, integrity.
The owner, Morodeen, is pretty toxic. I saw him speaking to his employees in such a distasteful and disrespectful way. I would not want my art encapsulated by such negative energy like his.
Had a very bad experience here regarding customer service and inappropriate practices. Do not recommend.
