Performing Art Academy of CT is an art center that specializes in music, art,theate, and dance. It is the sister company of Arts in CT Corporation.

Story

We specialize in theater, music, dance and art. Our private lessons, group lessons, master classes and church workshops encompass all artistic styles across each discipline. For instance, those who study dance can train in Ballroom, Ballet, Modern Dance, etc. PAACT music instruction includes all genres from classical to blues to country; all 20th Century Styles are recognized.

Mission

Helping to stop violence through the arts! Taking guns out of the hands of children and replacing them with "arts." Teaching children to fight with their talents, not with their hands.

The mission of our organization is to inspire, enrich and support our community through delivering quality arts outreach programs (see catalog) with over 65 variations of arts throughout the state of CT. We bring the artists to our through arts integration in education, community arts within the local community and civic organizations.

Located in the Fairfield and New Haven County, AIC has been in business for three years as a LLC and we have recently acquired our Nonprofit 501(c)3 status as of March 2016, which will enable us to expand our outreach program throughout CT and reach even more lives.

With over 20 years of experience in the field of community arts and educational development, we believe that each individual can excel to the fullest potential through creative learning and nurturing with the right guidance and instruction. Founded in 1994 in Fort Myers, FL by certified music teacher, Barbara Alexander, the company the migrated to CT, originally called the Alexander Music Studio specializing in voice. In 2014, the company grew into a larger arts organization encompassing music, art, theater, and dance in one location. It became an LLC and its name was officially changed to the Performing Arts Academy (PAACT) of CT LLC. In 2016, the company officially became a 501(c)3 and are now called Arts in CT (AIC) Corporation.
