Asian Food Center

One of my go-to places for Asian food. I've avoided Uwajimaya lately due to what seems to be higher prices. Here's what you do: wander along the fish aisle and look for a whole fish. Buy a packet of spicy soup mix. Cut the fish into chunks. Cook until done. Add vegetables that you like. You just made hot pot. Only problem I have with this place is finding things. As Mandarin is not my native language, it's hard to find things sometimes and staff can sometimes be too busy to be worried about helping you. Seek them out and they will usually do their best to help, but some only speak Mandarin.

Great stock of Taiwanese snacks and packaged food. Their produce selection is great and fresh. Excellent spice selection and their prices are generally good.

They have the best/freshest produce, fair prices and knowledgeable staff! Someone is always ready to answer questions. All around one of my top 5 favorite places to shop!!

Not sure how they've gotten such high ratings and good reviews but I don't think I will go there again. Most of their foods have NO expiration dates, a LOT of them actually already expired and they do NOT take them off the shelves. I've noticed numerous times for the past few years both at the store and at home after I already bought them. I hope people stop going there until they realize how unethical their practices are. There are plenty of other options for Asian Foods such as 99 Ranch and H Mart.
