Horrible experience. No sense of customer service. I went in wanting to find a solution for my severe tooth pain. Had high hopes going into Aspen as a first time patient. Left realizing I will NEVER go back to any Aspen ever again. It took almost 2 hours to even see the dentist, and I set up an appointment to make sure I would get in and be seen in a timely manner. She spend only 5 min going over things with me and sent me to her “office manager”. Who then told me it would cost $21,000 to repair everything. As she continues to say “have you been saving up for this”. That was the first comment that made me feel off. Instead of finding a solution for WHAT I came in for “my tooth pain” they slapped down a “quote” of 21,000…. There was no care just money. I then asked how we can make something work as I needed to relive this tooth pain. So, she wrote up another quote for $10,000. That is when I tried to ask for other cheaper options and she kept redirecting me to payment plans etc. I went in to find 1 solution and left with NOTHING. I left feeling unheard, scammed, lost at what the next steps are. A waste of time. NEVER AGAIN.
It started when they pulled out my teeth and shoved a pair of temporary dentures in my mouth that were too big. You would think they would really like to make sure they get out all the chunks of teeth but they don’t, i pulled out almost a dozen pieces some were big. It was painful. My temporary dentures were big and bulky, i felt like an ape from Planet of the Apes because my upper lip was bulging out. My bottom dentures didn’t stay in at all so i had no bottom teeth for 6 months. I finally get my new dentures and the bottom ones are painful no matter how many times i get them adjusted because they didn’t file down the bones on the bottom which i was told that was included in the price and then the dentist told me that’s not included. I wanted my money back so of course that’s what I’m told. I wanted the money back for my dentures but what they don’t tell you is you have to give them back your dentures!! You don’t read anything about having to give back your dentures in any info they give you but i was told they have a different form that tells you just that. Why not tell someone the whole truth before? Because they don’t want to give back your money, that’s why. So now I’m stuck with bad dentures, the bottom ones are painful and the top ones move back and forth and there’s a gap on the right side that food gets under my denture all the time. Not happy at all. I was told by the office person that she was going to try to get me some money back and she would call me, it’s been almost two weeks, nothing. I also left feed back after my visit on line and i was told they were going to contact me too, nothing.
I had an amazing experience this morning at my Aspen Dental location. The staff was amazing and very helpful. I was able to discuss payment options that worked for me and am finally getting wisdom teeth out with no problems. I would highly recommend to anyone!
I was treated with courtesy, respect, all my questions were answered. I received a free Dental exam...the x-ray and the consultation was absolutely free. I was informed in common simple language the condition of my entire mouth. They also explained how to purchase dental insurance at a low yearly price. I was happy that I went to Aspen Dental of Maplewood today. They were very professional.
The whole staff at this location is phenomenal. As someone who doesn’t visit the dentist as much as he should, I felt super comfortable and at ease during a whole months of work. So much so that I even had a laugh with the dentist in the middle of my deep cleaning. Special shout-out to one of the mangers there as well, Maddy. She was great. 100% recommend this location to anybody who are as nervous as me about visiting the dentist.
they were extremely helpful and answered so many questions! I felt really safe and overall trusted that they would be able to target all of my concerns. I would 100% recommend this location.
I was concern about my gums and set an appointment online. I received a call in less than 15 mins to confirm my appointment. They are on top of their call backs. Once I arrived, all the staffs were so kind to me. Autumn took my x-rays, she's as fast as a lightning. Nicky is nice and patient with me. She even showed me how to measure out the rinse formula. Jill is the sweetest person ever. I almost fell asleep during the deep clean session because of how gentle she is. It felt like a massage. She's awesome! My mouth feels extremely clean now. I would highly recommend this place to my family and friends. Thank you to everyone for your help!
Not good at all. I was there almost an hour just to tell me that I need a different treatment. Looks like there were in a hurry. 2 different persons came to check up. Times before I was pleased but not this time.
There are so many reviews here that I WISH I would've read before making the impulsive and quite frankly desperate decision to go to Aspen Dental today. I never write reviews but the fact that the office manager asked me to write a Google review at the end of this terrible experience sealed the deal. I booked online for an emergency, but when I called to confirm I was told that nothing would be done same day as far as treatment. That's fine, it's a wisdom tooth, I figured that could be the case. What I wasn't prepared for was the way it felt like I was just plopped into a machine and everyone was just bopping me around until they spit me out. Not only did I not receive a cleaning, I was then told that they wouldn't even do a regular cleaning on me at a future appointment because it would be considered malpractice since the dentist 'prescribed' root planing and whatever the deep cleaning is for gum disease. I thought I'd at least have an exam and a cleaning. I had X-rays that were pretty awful, but I expected they might be. The gal doing them was nice enough but kept saying things like "oh must have been a long time since your last cleaning" - A of all no, not comparatively and B of all aren't they supposed to be non-judgemental? The whole entire experience felt like a machine with s revolving door. X-ray tech in and out. Revolving door for the hygienist, swap out for the doctor. The dentist was nice enough, but everyone spoke to me like I was stupid and "this is what happens when you don't take care of things" type of attitude. It wasn't until I was whisked away with the office manager before I even realized my exam was over to discuss the costs of recommended treatment that it really hit me that this was purely transactional and they don't care about patients at all. I guess that's what happens when you choose a big chain. No compassion, repeatedly asked "were you prepared for this financial responsibility?" when being told the cost breakdown. Even worse than finding out that you have to pay upfront just to MAKE an appointment for treatment, is that the oral surgeons are only at each location one or two days a month. So now something that's an emergency has to just simmer until I find a location I can get into? I had hoped I'd receive great care but I'm left with an impossible decision to move forward with them or start over somewhere else when I really just need this dealt with. Proceed with caution.
I didn't get my teeth cleaned & here is why: I went into Aspen the first time because I had a lot of pain. But I had not been to the dentist in over 10 years due to my extreme fear. I explained all this to the team at Aspen. I got the work needed and found a wonderful women who cleaned my teeth without using a drill. The fear was the drill! When I went this morning I found that the woman was no longer there and according to the person who was going to do my teeth said she is probably not there because she didn't use a drill. You don't do sedation for cleaning but your ex-employee found a way to deep clean my teeth and I was happy to walk through the door this morning, until I saw the new person. I will not be back and make sure I am NOT charged for this. You made it impossible for me to get my teeth cleaned.
