Very pleased with all good people that had my best interests in mind. This was my first time purchasing a ton of anything. Great customer service and knowledge. I appreciated the desire to make this a great experience especially without me being a consistent customer. l have a place around the corner from my house that is almost triple the price. They would answer the phone but they had little interest in serving me without being a repeat customer with a large order.

I decided to do the demo on my driveway to save money. I was told by another customer this place charges a minimal fee around $20 or less. Went there and was charged $100 for each load and I had 2. It was 20 per ton with rebar or 1 without. That's a huge price difference with a couple pieces of metal that a machine takes out anyways.

I have been your customer for over 10 years. I am not a contractor but when my account was set up we had a very large project we were working on and we were given contractor pricing. I have land development projects occasionally with my business so we have maintained our account but we did go through a period of a few years where we only sparsely used materials from Asphalt Materials. I visited roughly 6 months ago to pick up some gravel for a small project. After loading, I went back to the scale to check out and noticed that the price had increased quite a bit. I inquired as to why and the clerk told me that she had taken away my contractor pricing because an employee had visited earlier that week and used my account for his personal use. She rudely told me that "everything" purchased on my account for the last two years was for personal use. I asked how long she had been working there and she snidely responded that she had been here 2 1/2 years and that she knew that my business would never use their products so everything we bought was for personal use. She actually told me that I was "stealing" from them by buying at contractor pricing. Although I am technically not a contractor, my company owns 2 gooseneck dump trailers, 2 mini excavators, 2 skid steers, and 2 tractors. We have rented front end loaders, excavators, and compactors for weeks and months at a time... This was the last time I visited Asphalt Materials and I'm not sure I will ever go back. Since my last visit, I purchased a large piece of property that I am working to develop. I have a general contractor but I do all of my own dirt work. I have imported over 24,000 tons of various materials with more to go. I have had months at a time where I have run 6-8 trucks all day long. Parsons, Geneva, and Lakeview were all happy to give me contractor pricing, but because of your rude clerk, I didn't even call for a price because I am not a thief and would hate to steal from you. I have around 240,000 square feet of asphalt to bring in and none of it will come from Asphalt Materials for the same reason. I run a mid-sized business with around 60 employees and if I ever heard an employee speak to a customer the way I was spoken, they would be under severe discipline if they even had a job anymore. Its all just water under the bridge now but if it were my business, I would want to know how my employees are treating people.

These guys are such great people that run a great company! We have purchased asphalt and other products from them for over a decade and they have delivered high quality mix and service everytime! I would highly recommend them for any pavement or landscaping needs you may have!
