Assumption Catholic Church

Been going there once a year for about 8 years. It is our Cub game and a musical weekend, but it is not unusual for the community of the church and the message of the priest to surpass the other aspects of our weekend. July 23rd the message was great. Will never look at a weed in the same way.. if you are in Chicago attending Mass at the Holy Assumption will only add to your appreciation of a great city. Thank you for allowing me to discover this gem, it has given me more than I could imagine

This place is very welcoming to all. The second time I attended Mass there, the pastor approached me to personally greet me. I'd attended another church in the area before Assumption and even after years of going to Mass there, I'd never been so welcomed. The sermons are relevant, the ministries are enthusiastic and varied, and the parish community is involved and friendly.

My girlfriend asked me to recommend a church while visiting Chicago told her to visit this church, it's rich history, downtown venue, the garden area, everything about this church is magnificent.

Nice, smallish church. They have a decent spread of masses on Sunday. The nice thing is that they have a free parking lot. Even if the lot is full, ample paid street parking is available. The priests keep things contemporary with their sermons.

Assumption Church is one of the most welcoming, beautiful Church communities you will ever find. Fr. Joe gives inspiring and relatable sermons that are not only informative but also entertaining. I cherish my Mass at Assumption Church. 5 STARS!!!
