Atlacatl and Pupuseria

First time there and I got their seafood soup OMG it was so good! I don't remember the last time I was absolutely satisfied both with the food AND the price when I ate out in the DC area... I would definitely go back. I can't wait to try their other dishes!!

If you go there please check out for hair on your food. I went in today December 8th 2002 at around 12noon with the family . We order 2 salad drinks, a marisco soup, 2 pupusas and a tipico plate which includes a tamale a taco and a pupusa with rices and beans. Well everything was ok with the drinks but when we got the food there was a long black hair wrap around the tamale. I call Marta the waitress and show it to her, her expression was "oh my god" then followed up with "do you want me to bring you another one ". I just told her to bring me the bill. Expecting just to pay for the drinks because we didn't even touched the food she brought up. But I got hit with a $32.00. And she dare to ask if I was taking anything to go, for obvious reasons I told her "no". I told her that there could be hair or other stuff in the food. Her response "This happens a lot, is not a big deal". Well this is a big deal to me and I just handed her my card she charged my car for everything except for the plate where the hair was in, we didn't even touch the rest of the food, it was disgusting to see someone's hair on food that is meant for you to eat. I'm sure not coming back to this place, if you go there look out for what you are eating.

Love this Place. I have know the owner since He Started with a Food Truck. My favorite is the Nacho Supreme.... Usually I pick it up on my way Home.

Customer service is trash I was waiting for my food forever and the only reason I got my food was because I told them I had been waiting and food I got a soup de res which was super salty and soup de marisco had no fish and carne asada had no taste and rice was oily and I ordered 2 tamales de elote that were awful tasted weird like they mixed too much floor and watered it down not edible at all had to thrown away. Just disappointing I would recommend to save your money and go somewhere else.

Prices on the menu are not updated. I was charged $36 for a simple fish. They will not steal my money again!

First time here and WOW definitely not what I expected but the food /THE PUPUSAS were DELICIOUS!!! Definitely coming back :

Price point was great, food quality was mediocre. Nothing to write home about. They gave yucca fries before the food came, and I ordered the pupusas and yucca con chicharron. There were not enough bits of chicharron. The cabbage for the pupusas was a delightful suprise and was sweet.

Place is small but they serve you a big food plate so you would feel no emptiness and you will have to see for yourself ! Note: Here's a pic. Also there's the machine to play music, even rancheras

Since we were kids, this was the place to go. The traditional food of Wl Salvador and Mexico is so tasty.
