My son has loved going to Atlanta parkour for the past year. We tried several attempts at more traditional athletic sports that he never seemed to connect with. Parkour has helped him come out of his shell and he shows pride in.
The teachers here are skilled, fun, and teach well to any level practitioner. They perform well in everything they're teaching and more. I enjoy practicing here, and I've improved a lot in three months. Class sizes typically are small to medium, so you can get ample direction, and you can stay after class in open-gym to further practice and adapt what you've learned. Furthermore, the gym has plenty of movable pieces to rearrange for innovation. The students bring a good energy to the place, too. Many of them have given me several helpful tips, and none of the many regulars are arrogant about technique. It's a fun atmosphere conducive to learning. I've seen all types of students come here multiple times: males, females, kids, teens, twenties, thirties, forties.... The several birthday parties I've seen the beginning of appear to be fun for kids as well.
The kids had such fun and honestly I did too. Great pit to jump into, lots of cool bars to hang from, many many jumping opportunities. Friendly staff following COVID protocols. Family friendly.
The facility has, over the last 6 months, been completely rebuilt and now features a ton of new obstacles and a foam pit. A great place to try out all forms of acrobatics and take your skills to the next level in a safe and stimulating environment.
I have been taking aerial silks classes at Atlanta Parkour for over a year and definitely recommend it for anyone interested in trying silks for the first time, or for experienced aerialists looking for somewhere new to train. Tiffany does a great job teaching to each student's experience level and keeping the environment fun and supportive while also getting in a great workout.
If you are into calisthenics or parkour or gymnastics or silks this is an awesome place to train. It's tucked away and can be a bit of a drive but open gyms at regular times means you can drop $10 and get a great workout in. I have observed some of the classes and personal training sessions from the owner and they look awesome. The gym has a padded springy floor which is nice for working on tumbling and flips. Assorted Parkour obstacles and a rudimentary weight room are also available.
I did the beginners class an hour long, and it was intense! It landed up being only me and one other fellow as the more advanced person in the beginners class did their own group. They adapted the class according to how well we were learning with an heavy focus on proper technique/injust prevention. With some pointers, I was able to run and get ontop of a 8 foot box as well as other fun obstacle navigation. But parkour is rough! It uses a lot more leg power than I imagined. After an hour of the parkour class, my legs were sore for 5 days. Leg day clearly is very, very important for getting around.
We love the foam pit and aerial silks classes!
Small but has everything you need in a gym except a trampoline and bar setup. Open gym rarely has anyone here so you have the entire space. Only downside is the space
Kickass gym with every thing one needs to become a American Ninja Warrior. I haven't been here in months due to an injury I suffered outside of here, but once I'm back on my game; I'll be here as much as possible flipping, spinning and climbing.
