Excellent Dr. Very thoroughly examined my injury, and performed an all-star surgery on me.!!!!!! He is very polite and so is his staff!!! They rolled out the red carpet, I felt a celebrity with the treatment I received. I felt no pain from the back pain that sent me to him, only where I was cut. I was able to get up and walk around the next day, and 3 weeks out I need no pain medication. He is definitely going to do my neck surgery in May and everyone that I see that's has spinal pain I will refer them to Dr James. Awesome job, Dr and staff. Thanks for taking care of me!!!!!

Doctor James and his staff, are the best ! He saved me from being wheelchair bound. And after nearly 20 years I’m still getting around. Having the best at what they do, is the key to great outcomes. A amazing doctor with a great patient-doctor rapport.

Dr. James and his staff are absolutely amazing! They truly care about the patient and do everything they can to help the patient recover. After seeing several Spine doctors I was told there was nothing they could do. I was in so much pain, and had given up hope of ever living without pain. A friend who had been in a helicopter accident went to the Mayo Clinic, where he was told the best spine doctor is in Georgia, Dr. Plas James. My friend who was in a wheelchair now lives a wonderful life walking and climbing trees, you would never know he had been in a wheelchair. After completing the tests for Dr. James, I walked into his office fully expecting to be told there was nothing he could do. His first words to me were, “I don’t know how you are even getting out of bed”! I was so emotional, I fought back tears for he told me I had nothing supporting my spine. They have put me back together, and I will be forever grateful for everything they have done for me!

Very pleased with service, professionalism, kindness and knowledge. When your back is Involved it makes you nervous. Everyone in Dr. James’s office is so very nice and they put me at ease from the very first visit. So thankful I was able to use them as my pain is gone after a successful surgery!!

Dr. James and his clinical staff are very professional and always perform detailed examinations. Also, they actively listened and addressed my health concerns during the encounter, so I never felt rushed. Atlanta Spine is the very best in Atlanta!

Dr. Plas was the find of the century for me and a literal lifesaver. I was referred to the good Dr. by a friend whose husband had a successful surgery with Dr. Plas. Immediately, I was impressed with the professionalism, friendliness, and expert care Dr. Plas and the staff offered. They were patient, prepped me well for surgery, and offered extensive education on my injury and solutions for correction. Due to the expertise and care the staff provided during pre-op testing, a heart condition I did not know I had was discovered, and I was immediately sent over to one of the best Cardiologists in Atlanta, an associate of Dr. Plas. It pays to be the best in your field who knows the best in other fields for sure! Because of Dr. Plas and his fantastic team and their care, I avoided stroke and potentially worse. They literally saved my life on top of providing me with expert spine surgical care. I was visited in the hospital post-surgery by both Dr. Mario and Dr. Plas, all smiles and kind encouragement for a speedy recovery. There has never been a moment where I didn't know what to expect or what to do, and the office has been available to answer any questions expediently. Post-care is as exceptional as pre-surgery. They are truly in the business of making your life better and getting you back to the life you deserve. I don't want to have to revisit Dr. Plas if I can avoid it, but I promise you you will not find a better Dr. or care team to get you through. If I could offer more than 5 stars, I would. The BEST!

What a loving and caring set of people. They will do everything it takes to get you right and will treat you like family in the process. Great staff from top to bottom. Dr. Plas James is the absolute best doctor. He performed spinal surgery on my lower back exactly 10 years ago. It was a SUCCESS. Recently I was in for a couple of follow up visits. I’m pleased to say that my spine is still in generally good health.

I was in bad shape; afraid of surgery and afraid of living the rest of my life just sitting in the pain, watching life go by. Both cervical and lumbar issues, with cervical issues being most critical. I put it off for years, but I was getting worse and two surgeons said it was surgery time. I decided to go for it and got the ACDF. I'm so glad I did. I'm not 100% pain free, but 11 months out and the worst symptoms are gone. The neck scar is not pretty, but I'll take it over the uncontrollable spasms that I used to have. Dr. James stopped by my bedside pre-op and said he would pray for me before he started surgery. I told him that I would pray for him as well. We both did great.

I chose to deal with my chronic back problems for over 30 years because I was told years ago that you never wanted to have your back cut on. But then, I met Dr. Plaz. After my initial visit with him I knew that he was a doctor I could trust. He was very honest and more than anything not pushy, forcing me to have the surgery. He gave me options-I chose the surgery and I'm so happy I did. A year has passed and I'm 100% better than I was prior to surgery.
