Long overdue! I had a high risk pregnancy at the age of 40. Dr. Yvette Smith was my doc. I went into labor at 26 weeks. With grace of God turned out Dr. Smith was the physician on call at Northside. My daughter was 4 pounds when she was born Dr. Smith is the reason my baby survived. I am grateful for life
I usually dread going to doctors as a trans person but Dr. Jeffers made my experience outstanding and a safe space. Trans inclusive care, honors your bodily autonomy, and r4pe informed. I cannot recommend Dr. Jeffers enough
I was really looking forward to meeting Dr. Johnson as a WOC looking for a WOC on/gyn to trust. Unfortunately this is my second encounter with dr Johnson being very dismissive and just simply didn’t care. Didn’t listen to my Concerns and lacked bedside manner. The wait times are long. It’s really unfortunate that As a WOC ob/gyn to treat another young WOC this way when she should know how hard it is to trust doctors and our experience. I do not recommend this Dr. Johnson at all.
The stories ARE true - the wait times are ridiculous! I had to reschedule my first appointment because I waited so long and had to end up leaving there to be at work on time! Dr. Dannigan is NOT who I should have seen. She appeared uninterested and in a rush to do whatever it was she was doing prior to me. In addition, I she told me information about MY body that was untrue. I won't be back.
they have two and a half stars for a reason. I called to schedule, and somehow all my previous insurance information just disappeared from my chart so they couldn't schedule me because i was at work and couldn't run out to get my insurance card at the time. Then I called again today to schedule and they couldn't schedule me because I had an unpaid bill i was not aware of, I never received a bill in the mail, email, or anything letting me know there was a bill. Once again I was at work and couldn't run out to get my card to pay it. I have not been there in over a year, and the receptionist couldn't explain well what the bill was from. Why not tell me about the bill when I tried to call the first time, So I could have been prepared to pay when scheduled?.. incompetence . And if you have an appointment be prepared to wait an hour in the waiting room, have the nurse staff be rude and unkind making you feel like garbage, and then another hour just to see the doctor just to get 10 minutes of the doctors time. And as if the incompetent receptionist I had on the phone wasn't frustrating enough, there is not any information on the website for a mangers email or number. I personally work in a medical practice, and I'm not sure how this clinic manages to stay open with the lack of patient care they give. But that's why they are 2.5 stars. I will be finding another OBGYN.
My sister recommended this place to start controls and deliver my baby. I called to make an initial appointment, the receptionist that “HELPED” me said that she didn’t accept my insurance that it was the ONLY insurance they didn’t accept …. I called my broker and asked him to change it making him go thru loops to get this done before the market closes, I finally get a new insurance better more expensive insurance so I can get treated by Doctor Smith like my sisters had. To my surprise I call to make an appointment and the SAMEEE person tells me “OH RIGHT WE DONT ACCEPT THAT INSURANCE EITHER”” ….. Whatttt???? Are you kidding me ??? Its such a shame that the front staff are sabotaging businesses for Dr. Smith. And after reading the rest of the reviews I’m kind of glad I’m not going to them because I want my first baby to be a beautiful experience and 2 star rating don’t seem to deliver that.
Great place if all you're looking for is to be another name on their schedule. Neither doctor or staff won't treat you as a person but only as a name and codes to file to insurance. I prefer to always give a place the benefit of the doubt and so I came back once more only to find out that they treated me worse then before. No greeting, only short instructions as if you're in jail. No hello/ how are you?/please or thank you used as part of the communication by ANY of the individuals I interacted with. I will not return or recommend this place to any woman that respects herself and expects at least minimal manors.
I loved all the doctors at this practice and they took care of me during my pregnancy. The reason I am giving less than 5 stars is because when it came time to deliver my baby in 2016, no one from the practice was on call. A doctor I had never met from a different practice delivered my baby. Luckily she was also a great doctor, but I felt like they should have told me that was a possibility. I had no idea that could happen. So, if you choose to go with this practice, just know that there is a possibility that someone you have never met before could deliver your baby. I have since moved to Woodstock and switched to another practice to avoid this happening with baby #2.
I’m coming up on 2 years as a patient at AWS and have had an incredible experience with the doctors and nurses. Everyone I have interacted with is caring, knowledgeable, and always eager to answer questions. Above all, I highly recommend Dr. Dawson to anyone on the search for a new OBGYN!
When it comes to their professional advice and service, it's great. Haven't delivered my baby yet, so can't speak to that. But my God. I've been sitting in the same chair for 45 mins now and still no doctor. Even came in 15 mins early. It's totally ridiculous. If you can go to another doctor's practice, OBYGN, I would look elsewhere. I feel like I'm too far along to change at this point.
