AELC is a hidden gem in Denver. The school is the only one of its kind to have individual outdoor playgrounds for each age. Kids just walk right out of their classroom door onto a secure playground made just for them. I have a one year old and two year old registered in the program and they are thriving. Their teachers are incredible and truly love them. Each of their teachers have been at AELC for 20 years which is something you don't see at every childcare center. As a working mom, I really appreciate that my kids have breakfast, lunch and snacks provided throughout the day. Would recommend the AELC to anyone! It is one of the best childcare centers in Denver!
Our daughter has been attending AELC for about a year and we love it! It is a well run facility with great teachers and staff. My daughter has been well taken care of and learned a lot here from the beginning.
After this facility under went administration change it fell apart. My child's teacher quit due to poor working conditions amd always being understaffed. My child was in a toddler classroom that was made to be quiet the entire day. They made me meet with a speech therapist, claiming my child was delayed in her speech. She was not. My child was also hurt under suspicious circumstances and I was obviously lied to by the director. They let my child play for half the day with a cut on her forehead that required medical attention and I know this for a fact because I was sent pictures from that day in the classroom and my daughter had a bandaid on her forehead in a picture where she was painting, they don't let the kids play with big messy crafts 15minutes to pick up which is when they said it happened. I would not leave my child here, I would find a better facility.
I absolutely love this program. The staff is very mindful of all the students. They are a great with individual learning and helping the children advance. All the staff is loving and helpful. every one in the building makes sure your child is secure and safe. They check ID's and make sure your child can leave with the people that are there to pick them up. You are always greeted with a smile and a hello when you enter the building. The only issue is that they don't open early enough for my work schedule.
This is not the place for you if your kiddo has any struggle with self regulation or social/ emotional delays!!! We were disenrolled after a day and a half, and sent on a wild goose chase tracking down assessments from behavioral specialists and head start evaluations. This place even went so far as to imply that our son might have ODD. Nothing ever came of any of it. After our head start evaluation, other than recognizing some sensory processing issues and needing glasses, our kiddo was cleared to start school without an IEP or 504 plan. He never ended up needing one while in public preschool and two years later he is now happily back in a private preschool. Please do not let our experience with AELC become yours, this place is incompetent and they do not value inclusivity of ALL children. Be very careful in trusting your kiddos with them.
The staff is incredibly friendly. Wish the offered care before 1 and could keep kindergarten!! Looking forward to seeing both my kids there!!
Great school. If your child is developing behind, use a small amount of caution as they are not staffed well for an inclusive environment.
I was a preschool teacher for a few years in Denver. I know through my PDIS ties that this is an excellent education center.
My daughter has attended this school for over 2 years and we have had nothing but wonderful experiences
