Aurora Sinai Medical Center

Went for colonoscopy today at 10:00am the hospital staff I encountered was wonderful. From the front doorman to the RN's that were put in my care. They made me feel comfortable and safe. My two nurses Jeanne and Mikayla were wonderful and very professional. I thank God for their professionalism.

Went to the Emergency Department after I struck a tree while snowboarding. The reception didn’t get my name down correctly after twice correcting it and literally writing it down for her, they didn’t bother taking my insurance down, so I had to call in and correct that. Then I’m given a boot for my injury that even the Nursing student didn’t even know how to correctly secure Velcro straps. Afterwards I’m told that I’ll be getting a referral to see a physical therapist and primary care doctor, neither of whom called me, and when I call the office, the receptionist instantly transfers me to the Emergency department without letting me finish my sentence. I call back and she then tells me about waiting lists without actually pulling any information. Time to wait in the waiting room is gooched as well. I sincerely do not recommend this place. The nurses are incompetent and the facilities are bare minimum. In fact, the entire hospital seems run down and disgusting.

Went to their ER with my daughter for a bleeding ear. They left us in the waiting room for four hours. This was after they told me that my daughter would be a priority patient because of her injury. They kept calling names of people who weren't there. I saw multiple people with less serious injuries get called before us. There were people who weren't as injured and came after us but were called before us. I understand it goes by priority but of my daughter is a priority patient then why did we have to sit there for numerous hours. The vending machine that usually has water bottles in it was empty. So I couldn't even get us anything to drink while we were sitting there for hours on end. None of the nurses were communicating what was going on. They literally just left us sitting there. Then when we finally went back to the ER rooms most of them were empty! Wouldn't recommend at all. Go somewhere else if you can.

I delivered my first son here in the birthing center and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this Hospital. I will be delivering my second son with the same doctor, the nurses and staff throughout are very helpful and a delight always.

I had surgery on 8/31/22 at Aurora Sinai hospital for an LAMINECTOMY. I received excellent care from the moment I walked in the door till I left 3 days later. Every department I dealt with did their job well and with a smile and kind word. My surgeon Dr. Mustafa Khan was willing to hear my questions and answered them. He follows up with home phone calls the following weeks after surgery. Very pleased. Barbara Sedlock

Long post... If you can, go anywhere else. Was brought by ambulance to the ER on 12/6. After going thru the check in process, in excruciating pain, I was told that my pain was because I was hyperventilating. I was actually passing a kidney stone, and all the regulated breathing in the world doesn't stop the pain that comes with that. I was then wheeled into the waiting room. I asked if there was a nurse that could help me get to the bathroom, and was rudely told "no". I wheeled myself to the bathroom door, and managed to get myself in the bathroom. I found a very sick woman locked in the handicapped stall on the floor. I asked if she needed help, and she said yes. I started yelling for help at the door. A nurse came and was very rude to the woman on the floor, and never helped her up or out of the bathroom to the ER. I could hear the woman vomiting while I waited for it to be my turn. I waited for about 45 mins before my boyfriend arrived, and he told me we were leaving. We went to St Luke's where I was immediately wheeled back to the ER and treated.

Amazing staff @ Aurora Sinai Medical Center!! I had my first child here and then he was in the n.i.c.u. after that for almost a month. And what I can say with % confidence and belief is.... All of the doctors and nurses were caring and wonderful people. That is 100 percent what I experienced. So thank you all so much for making that tough time in our lives as painless as it possibly could have been‼

Building dirty in places. Some rude, a attentive staff. I eventually let when told be the wouldn't give me food during my 3 day stay.

Long post alert…Worse hospital, I was there Wednesday night going through it. They ran many tests and gave me many different medicines for different reasons and then that same night I miscarried. The next day I came in and they told me that nothing was in their system about my visit the night before. They kept me in the waiting area for almost 4 hours knowing that I was miscarrying. I watched as so many non emergencies that came in after me were called to the back and coming back out like an hour later. They wouldn’t listen and give me a vaginal ultrasound to check me, made me go through an unnecessary/painful pep smear while miscarrying just to check unnecessarily for things that I had been tested for within that same week and week before with results that were already updated in their system even from other hospital records. They made me feel so low, gave me the smallest and coldest room possible to the point where they complained about the cold themselves and the doctor or nurse bumped me every time they needed to get to something in my room. After almost 11 hours they released me saying they didn’t know if I was miscarrying and for now to act like I did not, just for me to go the next day to my primary doctor at froedtert and them wonder why nothing they did for me that day was done the night before at Sinai. No stars deserved, I will never go back

THE EMERGENCY ROOM DEPARTMENT IS THE WORST PART OF THE HOSPITAL!! THEY DISCRIMINATE.I CAME IN KNOWING I WAS HAVING ANOTHER ECTOPIC PREGNANCY AFTER HAVING ONE EARLIER THIS YEAR!! I WAS IN SEVERE PAIN. THEY MADE ME WAIT 5 HOURS TO ACTUALLY BE SEEN DESPITE ME NOT ABLE ABLE TO SIT DOWN. THEY TOLD ME 25 PEOPLE WAS AHEAD OF ME AND NOBODY LOOKED SICK THERE. IT WAS A LOT OF OLDER GUYS IN THERE THAT SMELLED OF ALCOHOL. Panhandlers SOME WERE SLEEPING IN THE CHAIRS AND THEY STILL WOULD CALL THEY NAMES OVER AND OVER AGAIN!! IT WAS AN CAUCASIAN YOUNGER NURSE WITH DARK BROWN HAIR THAT KNEW SOME OF THE GUYS AND WAS VERY FAMILIAR WITH THEM LIKE THEY COME IN THERE EVERYDAY FOR NON EMERGENCY PURPOSES. SHE SKIPPED OVER MY NAME MULTIPLE TIMES DESPITE MY FIANCÉ GOING UP TO THE DOOR THAT SHE KEPT COMING OUT OF WITH PEOPLES NAMES. HE TOLD HER THAT I WAS IN SEVERE PAIN TO THE POINT WHERE I COULDN’T SIT DOWN. SHE JUST IGNORED IT. WE FINALLY WAS CALLED 5 HOURS AFTER WAITING JUST TO HEAR VERY BAD NEWS!! I WASS TRANSFERRED UP TO EMERGENCY SURGERY. THE LABOR AND DELIVERY DEPARTMENT TREATED ME LIKE FAMILY . THEY WAS SO NICE PATIENT AND CARING. OTHER THEN THAT I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. THEY WALK AROUND AND TALK ALL DAY AND DON’T EVEN CARE ABOUT THIER PATIENTS. THEY WILL LITERALLY LET YOU DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!!
