Auto Stop-Arlington

Update: Just a couple hours after writing this review, I got a really nice call from the shop. They agreed parts of the service were overpriced and credited me on those. I appreciate them taking the time. Again, I really appreciate their customer service and I will definitely consider going back. -- The customer service was great, but we are certain now we got shafted on the price. We were about to go on a road trip and were desperate to get the car fixed in time. It was stalling out at a stop, which appears to be a common problem with the Chevy Equinox. I foolishly trusted their pricing based on previous reviews here. In retrospect, it's clear to me that they took advantage of us and my general lack of car knowledge. They charged us over $500 for camshaft solenoid replacement, which I now understand usually ballparks around $200. We were charged $368 for sparkplug replacement usually costs no more than $200. Even the oil change was above average, at $83. We paid over $1400 altogether and initially, they recommended other services that would've cost an extra $1500. I would recommend them for their friendliness and speed, but definitely approach cautiously.Service: General repairs & maintenance

The staff at Auto Stop Arlington, especially Lucas, have been so helpful every time that I have gone in. Lucas helped me immediately when I walked in and answered all of my questions. Everyone has been extremely professional and friendly every time I call. Both times I've been they were able to get me an appointment quickly and had a fast turnaround in fixing my issues. I will definitely be coming back again! My first time I needed a new battery. The team provided me with an overview of all the future services that I might need and price estimates, which has allowed me to plan ahead for the future. I was able to get my oil changed and a new turn signal light bulb within just a few hours! I was really greatful that I wasn't without a car for more than a few hours.Services: Oil change

Chrissy and Lucas really took care of me today. I’m going on a trip from Arlington to Maine, leaving tonight, and I came in this morning needing an oil change, tire rotation, and safety inspection in a pinch. Despite being booked solid with appointments, they somehow fit me in and did an outstanding job, getting everything done so I can hit the road with peace of mind. Auto Stop has the best people and customer service, and I’m a loyal customer. They always are nice and do a thorough quality job. Can’t thank Chrissy and Lucas enough! And thank you to Tom and the whole crew at Auto Stop.

I called Auto Stop to get a clear estimate for a replacement alternator and drive belt because I was originally quoted around $1300 from another mechanic shop. The employee "working in the front office" was super helpful and gave me a quote of around $900 before taxes, Using the exact same parts that i was told the other shop was going to use. I called the shop that had my car and got them to lower my rate. I was so impressed by the honesty and good customer service from Auto Stop that I will 100% be going to Auto Stop to get the other work on my vehicle done! Also they have a Military discount!

I’ve been coming to this place for years simply because of their customer service. This place is the Chick-fil-a of auto shops. They’re always %100 honest about pricing and how it compares to other places around which I really appreciate. If they don’t have the cheapest price for a part of service they wont try to convince you they do, they’re always completely upfront about where they stand on the price scale and will still go out of their way to help you make the best choice for you. Everyone I’ve ever interacted with here and been super helpful and nice. Doug I think the manager? has gone out of his way to give advice and help when he didn’t need to. Seriously, I have never had a bad experience here.

Been going to these guys for the past two years since I moved to Arlington. Folks are friendly, each time I visit they do a full inspection and send me pictures of what’s critical, what needs future service, and what’s good to go. Their prices are very reasonable, they don’t push repairs you don’t need, and you really can’t beat the service. They can do state and emissions inspections. Highly recommend Doug, Lucas, and their team.

I just moved to Arlington and was nervous to find a new Auto Shop. I work very early hours, so when I came to drop off my car, although I was 30 minutes before opening, they still happily took me in and were willing to be supportive and explain everything when I had questions about my car.
