Avery did a beautiful job capturing our wedding. Before the big day, we discussed all the ins and outs of the ceremony and photos we wanted captured. Avery did a great job of capturing all of those moments that we asked for, and we were amazed at how beautiful the photos turned out, as well as the candid moments she was able to capture . Avery was very professional and polite and we really enjoyed working with her. Thank you Avery for preserving one of the best days of our lives!

Avery is magical and absolutely exceeded all of our expectations for our wedding! And not just the photos, either! All the research and prep work she did beforehand, taking charge of the situation so we didn't have to worry about it, choosing a fantastic second, and just being a real pro. She was consistently at the right place at the right time, so much so that we didn't even notice her at times which is a good thing!. We got all of our photos within a week, which was way faster than expected. There were a lot of them, and, no exaggeration, every single one of them was fantastic! The life, color, depth, composition, movement and joy in every single shot is absolutely wonderful. She's a true artist!

If there is anything to take away from this review I am leaving- it is that Avery Leigh Photography was the best choice for my wedding photographer. Avery went above and beyond for my destination wedding in New Orleans. She is also based in NYC, where we live, so meeting up was easy. When you meet Avery, you will be warmed by her large smile, and within her photography, you can see her eye for detail and composition. As an artist myself, I was very picky about what kind of artist I wanted to use for my wedding photography- Avery specializes in street photography, which means she can catch beautiful candid moments throughought your special day. Even those family members or those shy friends who are not photogenic- Avery will catch them smiling and smiling well! The day of my wedding was hectic, and Avery was as cool as a cucumber and quick as a tiger. We had this cool eye contact across rooms and it was like she could read my mind while trying to take family portraits and traditional wedding photos. I has even been meticulous in typing out a photography want list- this list got caught in my email inbox and we pulled it up on my cell phone IN THE MOMENT DAY OF and she was able to get every single shot that I dreamed of, and more. We also asked for a second photographer to cover spaces where Avery cannot be- and Avery’s judgement was, once again, magnificent. Our second photographer was Chelsea Caldwell, and we loved having two artist’s aesthetics and different views of our wedding. The turn around time for the sneak peek and the full set were quick, even though Avery had other wedding albums to edit as well. My family is obsessed with the photos, my friends keep changing their profile pictures to the beautiful shots she captured of them, and my husband and I are blissfully happy that our special day was captured so deeply and intimately. I highly recommend Avery Leigh Photography. I take no hesitation to recommending her to anyone who asks, “Know a good photographer?” Because I really, really do.

Due to the pandemic, my original plan for proposing to my now-fiancee got upended and I didn't know what to do. I knew my fiancee always wanted to visit Asheville, and since I had never been there, I went looking for photographers who knew the area. I found Avery and she gave great recommendations for the best places to propose, and even went to the locations to send me pictures of the area I wasn't sure how the outdoor areas would look in winter. The pictures turned out fantastic and she even was able to shoot and edit of video so that we coud share the moment with our family who couldn't be there. I can't reccommend her enough.

Avery not only is an espectacular photographer but also an amazing person. Our wedding was arranged relatively fast and she was so great at being flexible and working with us. She took the time to get to know us before the event and understand what we were really looking for. She visited the location days before and the day of the event arrived early to optimize the light and the setting, which was probably part of the magic recipe that allowed her to capture the most wonderful moments. Our photographs have the perfect balance between "casual" and "formal", and the editing was simply beautiful and also fast!. She is friendly, professional, and her work is impeccable.. you can't really go wrong with her. and if you have time and want a good laugh, listen to some of her stories about her many trips in South America!

I had a wonderful outdoor headshot session! I was a little nervous beforehand, but Avery immediately put me at ease. She gave helpful direction, but mainly encouraged me to just be myself! The shoot itself was a lot of fun, and I am extremely pleased with the results. I would recommend to anyone looking for eye-catching shots.

Avery and her team did my headshots and it was a super fun shoot! Not only did I have a great time at the shoot but I am so pleased with the results! I was afraid I'd be so awkward but it didn't even matter because Avery knows how to bring out your best for the camera!
