Terrible customer service. What's the point of having an insurance representative if they are going to do nothing for you? I received my automatic renewal in the mail. "We're here to help-contact your authorized Wellmark representative or call us directly" is stated on the renewal. "If you would like any plan changes to be effective on Jan. 1, please contact your Wellmark representative by Dec. 15." I called my Wellmark representative as soon as I received this in the mail. I was told it was too early to make changes to my plan and to call back in November. I called back in November and got in touch with my representative. I told her I was not interested in this plan. I asked her to send me other plan information. We discussed several options, after which I informed her I was going to find my own plan through the marketplace. Come January, the premium for the automatically renewed plan is deducted out of my account. After calling my Wellmark representative to get my funds returned, I find out I have to fill out a cancellation form which I had no knowledge of. My authorized Wellmark representative claimed to have forgotten that I was not interested in this plan even though I have proof of our correspondence. She told me she would get the cancellation to Wellmark immediately and try to get my funds returned. However, Wellmark would not return funds from a policy cancelled in January for January. So now I'm out a monthly premium more than my monthly mortgage payment, and the President of my authorized Wellmark representative doesn't even have the courtesy to return my phone calls or try to compensate me in any way. Again, don't waste your time with this authorized Wellmark representative if they are going to tell you to call Wellmark and fix your own problem.
