Far and away the best karaoke bar in Portland. The owner has been named best karaoke outfit by New York Times several times. He has songs no one else has because he’s learned to deconstruct tracks, lay down his own instrumentations and make karaoke tracks no one else has. This should be a Mecca for karaoke singers nationwide. Download the Baby Ketten app to plan for music available. All vegan food; three meticulously designed private rooms, each with a different theme; AND Public karaoke nightly. Full bar and photo booth too. He sanitized each mic in a UV box after use and every mic has a bonnet. Literally doing the most for Covid infection prevention.
Where karaoke dreams are made real, truly exceeded all my expectations. Love the main stage, diner and karaoke rooms--all of it. Great bartenders, kjs, drinks and vegan food. Go there meow!!!
The best karaoke bar in town, by far. They have all the tracks you've been wanting to sing but can't find anywhere else. Staff is super chill and the vibe is very welcoming and supportive. Cocktails are on point with a wide selection of spirits. Be sure to try the vegan chicken wings with sugar cane bone, so yummy!
I hosted my birthday party here, and it was awesome! The food was delicious. The drinks were tasty. I did think the room was awfully small for how much I paid. It was a little tight, but we made it work. All around awesome place. I will be back!
Best karaoke around. Amazing vegan food and I’m not even vegan. Not that it’s too surprising for Portland. Song list is incredible even though there are less in the main room. One just has to laugh at some of these reviews. This place is a solid 5 star establishment.
Normally I love baby ketten. I have gotten private rooms here a few times and really enjoy the song selection and service. Jason is a very kind bartender who gives great service. But the other night my friends and I went to the main room karaoke and the kj was so rude. Most of the songs we asked for weren't available in the main room. She said we needed to pay for a private room for the good songs. She told us this probably 5 times in a rude tone. We went up to put in a song maybe 30 minutes to close and she just said I'm done for the night in a very rude tone. She then keep talking to someone very loudly at the stand making it difficult for me to even hear my friends. I have been here before and sang up until close. I wouldn't go back to do the main room karaoke, but I'd go back for the private room experience.
Space is alright, but service is poor. Expect to pay WELL over market rates for a private karaoke room $45/hr and DO NOT expect attentive service. At that price I would've expected our own server, but all we got was the bartender whenever they had time to serve us. Go to Voicebox if you want a private room for a decent price.
Small but powerful. Get ready for the full karaoke experience. Sing on the main stage like a star or book one of the private rooms for a more intimate evening.
A great place for karaoke with a more unique song list. Tasty vegan food. The sweet potato fries and brussels sprouts are great!
I frequently hit up the open karaoke here and love the staff and various KJs. I would absolutely recommend this establishment with five stars, but I had a truly terrible time with KJ Jarney/Sevins. From the very start of the night, my friends and I put in songs like the 5th or 6th person to do so and she bumped us repeatedly to input her friends and their friends who had quite literally just walked in the door at 9:25. I asked her about it and she lied and said I must have seen the order wrong. The friends with me were there for the first time and likely won’t return. I don’t blame them. She should be fired.
