The food was pretty good, and the service was pretty good as well. I had the shrimp bo' boy sandwich with fires. It was around $25.00 for everything. I would definitely eat there again.Food: 4/5
This for the Norfolk area location. Ordered calamari, was terrible-overcooked, very dark and hard to eat. Think the grease was hot. The salmon was, well I actually don’t know what it was. It had no flavor. The salad was ok if you like lettuce, lots of onion and croutons. Cheeseburger was ok. Eat before you get in terminal.
The good: received the food faster than expected! Only 35 mins instead of the hour we were told! The bad: fries were a bit stale, chicken a bit dry and it was difficult to taste the jalapeño. Overall it’s what I expected for airport food. I would have been upset if I had leave the meal behind to make the flight. I did like ordering and checking the menu with the QR code. If multiple people use the same QR code it all goes to the same ticket! So either prepare to Venmo your friends add and pay for food before the next person adds. It did get a bit toasty as well.
The service was atrocious. Several times, the waiter would try and bring us food for other tables. After ordering, we waited and eventually had to ask a waitress about our food before getting it. When the nachos came, they looked absolutely disgusting. Decided to order a salad and some fries instead and again waited for a long time and ended up asking a waitress about it before getting it.
Seems like the best option concourse B. We were not super hungry so we just ordered the Bistro Trio which was nice and the Fries which was meh. Service was friendly, but we did clean our own table and looked for and found the only high chair they had and cleaned it too so I wouldn't say it was good. Prices were relatively high as expected.
Very very expensive. Got the nachos and it ran me $20 for a snack sized portion. I will admit the flavor was good, but the value proposition is just really bad.Food: 3/5
Philly steak and fries were on point. Had to grab a quick bite at the airport. Waitress/bartender was personable and friendly. Pretty clean for an airport restaurant.Food: 5/5
This morning, as I waited to board my 0645 flight, I stoped into the only food counter in terminal B of ORF this is a little walk up version of the Bistro. I just wanted something more then a bag of chips or breakfast bar. I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich and I was physically shocked when I saw the cook put sourdough bread on the flattop. Where was the prepackaged, made offsite, wrapped in plastic sandwich I was expecting? Then the lady had the audacity to crack three eggs on there as well. I was shaken. Knowing I had a few minutes and being woozy from the sight of a fresh cooked meal in an airport, I had to sit down. The only seating they had was at a small little bar. I saw two ladies order mimosas so I thought, what the hell, it’s 0600 and a Bloody Mary sounds good. Michelle the bartender was so nice and made me an awesome, spicy Bloody Mary. A few minutes later and my sandwich was done, I finished my drink and scooted off to my plane. I waited until we were airborne before I unwrapped my sandwich, and what a sight it was. This is a big guy, well worth the $10.50 I paid for it. It was still warm but I wish I had time to eat it at the bar when it was hot off the grill. This was just a good old sandwich, made with love. Lots of egg, melty cheese and two large sausage patties nestled between two toasty sourdough hugs. It was so good. I love sourdough and I love fried egg sandwiches, but my family is not a fan of sourdough so we tend to eat fried egg sandwiches on white bread, still good, but not this good. I can’t remember a fried egg sandwich this good that I didn’t make myself, and this is in an airport! Who knew? Michelle was the bartender and I missed the name of the cook, but I would like the thank them both in restoring my faith in airport food and Norfolk in general. You ladies made my day.
It was packed on Sunday. Tons of delays and cancellations. They were super fast and friendly. I had a honey bbq fried chick sandwich and fries. It was really tasty. I enjoyed it. They have the QR ordering. Seating is pretty close bc it is an airport restaurant but people were friendly, food came out fast and freshly prepared and was pretty tasty, and they had lots of TV's.
Terrible service. I’ve never wished so hard that I was on the American Airlines side. Such better service on their side at the James River Grill. At least I get good service there. This place: “Did you scan the QR code?” Yes, I scanned your lazy code and it didn’t work. Mocked by the waiter. Unappreciated.Food: 1/5
