Great knowledge and excellent service. I ran in just before closing and was still able to get all of my questions answered thoughtfully and. Awesome store guys! Hope to be back soon.
Just had a small convo with the fellas that run the joint. I used to drive an hour just to go to this particular homebrew supply. Great people and knowledgeable dudes. Everything you need from beginner to advanced.
Super friendly, helpful, & knowledgeable people here. Supply & equipment options are good. Photo is racking of BA strong scotch ale into secondary, ingredients and fermenter from Bader.
Very wide section and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. They have great gear and ingredients for brewing, as well books on brewing and fermentation. They also carry kits and starters for other fermented products, such as yogurt starter and kombucha scobys.
Everything you ever need and need to know about fermentation, wine and beer brewing. They have a wonderful library and the staff are helpful and friendly offering options based on your budget.
This place is awesome. The staff are always very friendly and informative. I've learned a lot by shopping here.
I'm new to the Vancouver area so I didn't know where to go for brewing supplies. On this day I went to pick up a new scoby as my first attempt at kombucha ended up with what appeared to be mold. My thought was to go in, grab my item and leave. The extremely kind and helpful store staff started a conversation with me about my komucha brewing and even took a look at photos of my brew to give me some expert advice if it was really mold or not as I was in the fence as to that verdict. Sure enough, it was mold dang!!. But the great thing about the misfortune was finding Bader Beer & Wine Supplies. I really appreciate all the help he gave and will definitely go back for all my brewing supplies.
I like bader for many, many reasons. They have everything for both the aspiring and seasoned homebrewer, and everyone that works there knows their stuff. One thing that really stands out though: they don't spoon feed you instructions. Rather, they give you just enough information to help you learn for yourself the best way to retain information. I really appreciate this shop, the people in it, and the brewing community that they faithfully support. Cheers guys.
I’ve been brewing for about 12 years. From the beginning- Bader always has what I’ve needed and the experience to answer all my questions. It’s not just beer and wine. They have cheese and distillation equipment as well. There are classes you can go to. Yes, they have it all!
THEY CHARGE DOUBLE THAN AMAZON. ALSO, If you like to be talked down to and over charged, this is your place! The staff goes out of their way to make sure you feel dumb and out of place. I mean, you’ll never know as much as them, so feel free to ask. You won’t get a whole answer, just part of one so you can guess the rest and ruin your batch. Hey Steve, if you hate the public so much, keep it up. I’m loving my amazon purchases. UPDATE: I'm super disappointed in your response. This IS a separate issue. I loved shopping there when I started out. I'd forgotten about the business card thing which was your own employees idea to bring them in after talking about my business, probably because I was there buying a ton of stuff as a customer and supporting your business. I've been in recently because I needed something THAT DAY and was reminded why I stopped going. The yeast was DOUBLE what Amazon charges and your employee was annoyed at my questions about it and even that I purchased it. Couldn't believe it! Imagine your favorite place to shop treats YOU like this! You've never worked with Action Jackson Promos. If you had, you'd see the tremendous amount of respect we have for our clients. I'd be devastated if someone had a bad experience and do whatever it took to make it right, but that doesn't happen with us because we care about each client on a personal level. It's crazy that you would hurt a business you've never used because you can't manage criticism of your own. I will reach out to you about this to see if we can resolve, but I'm honestly broken-hearted that this is how you treat customers. :
