Bailey's General Store

Absolutely love this place. Their tag line is "Customers are our business" and they totally live it. It's a great grocery store with typical island pricing but the service is world class. A helpful smile in every isle. On our most recent visit, Donna (cashier) recognized my down syndrome child and had a reference to a down syndrome charity in her pocket, hoping to see him again. Now that's going the extra mile. They also have a great deli, coffee bar, bakery, wine selection, and fudge. Yes, fresh made fudge in a dozen different flavors. Did I mention I love this place? There are other grocery stores on Sanibel, but nothing compares to Bailey's.

Baileys is the best market ever. I was blown away by how nice everyone was, how good the sandwich shop and the coffee shop are and how much I really enjoyed everything here. I live in Colorado and my wife and I came for a visit in October. Stopped here about ten times during the week we were there. Now I’ve been home and since then I’ve wished often that this place was back home. I miss Sanibel, AND Bailey’s!

Gem of a little store. Great for tourists needing to buy groceries, snacks, supplies, hardware, souvenirs, etc as well as for permanent residents. Very friendly staff. Had our 2 year old with us and more than 1 person offered him a cookie.

Bailey's is the best! Prices are reasonable. Selection is amazing. Food is great whether grocery shopping or buying from the deli. Mr. Johnson is totally committed to our environment - solar panels, LED lighting, recycling hot water. We come here every time we come to this area. Thanks for keeping Sanibel Island amazing!

Great grocery store. Awesome Deli- Cheryl is really helpful. Billy, in grocery, knows where everything is. Wonderful shopping experience.
