A Baltimore City-based literary 501(c)(3) dedicated to promoting science fiction, fantasy, and related genres.
A 501(c)(3) literary society based in Baltimore, all of our meetings are free and open to the public.
We hold Business Meetings, Anime Socials, Gaming Groups, Spec Fic Critique Circles, and a Book Discussion Circle. Anyone who is interested in any form of science fiction or fantasy is invited to hang out with and become a member of BSFS. Our building is at 3310 East Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21224.
Our regular schedule:
Business meetings on the 2nd Saturday of each month starting at 7 PM
Gaming meetings on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month at 12 PM
Critique circle for speculative fiction writers every 2nd and 4th Thursday 6:30 PM
Social meetings on the 4th Saturday of every month at 8 PM
A book discussion group on the 4th Saturday before the Social at 6:30 PM
Anime manga and gaming social on the 4th Saturday of each month at 2 PM
A film night on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 7PM
For the Critique circle, if you'd like your work critiqued, please bring 6 - 8 copies of it for others to read, and try to limit yourself to 8 pages or less of material. You do not have to bring material, we welcome people who just want to come and talk shop.
