Very disappointed in the quality and quantity. I've been going to Banana King since well over 15 years ago and boy has everything gone downhill. I just found out they changed the fish sandwich. It used to be on a pressed Cuban bread with real fried fish, now it's a mostly breaded on a bun frozen fish, that cost ne about $8 and was burnt and mostly bread, that's even worse than McDonald's fish sandwich. Their chicken sandwich also tasted very fake, frozen, and lackluster. Even their green hot sauce changed and also tastes cheap. They used to ha r the best green hot sauce with oil, freshly ground hot green peppers, now it has more vinegar and just tastes cheap. Will not be going back there anymore. Workers were nice though.
Got an arepa and she didn’t put the lettuce cheese or sauce and it was a mess. Also is was very understaffed so the girl took a very long time to make my order.
Someone really recommend me to try their milkshake and empanadas but cashier was really rude. I asked for sauce and they charge for sauce. What’s the point buying food there if I have to pay for the sauce. Never eating there.
The banana king in Elizabeth is the typical banana king as far as the set up. Parking is hard to find. The workers at the time I went were friendly. The food is alright and the passion fruit smoothie could’ve been made better.
Lady at register we had to beg her to take our orders pretty much, also there are NO tables or chairs and to be honest the food was ok. I been to other Banana Kings up north that put this one to shame, without putting an effort. However I will go back again, maybe today was a once in a time situationFood: 3/5
No so good food is always a mess not mentioning they even charge you for extra sauce
Prejudice i went there with my friend waited for 15 mins in the line no one even asked me if I needed help. The manager was in the back so I asked her how long would it take for me to order she pointed to the 2 cashiers, No hair nets No gloves..after waiting 10 more minutes we got to order...no Hospitality no costumer service and very stand offish..I hate to make it about race, but it had to be because I was black or my friend was a muslimah...when we bought the epinadas with was sitting too long..we had to keep asking her for sauce that already should been offered with the epinadas..next costumer was latino...he was immediately taken care of...I used to love this place..I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN...
It’s the worst one of the Banana King Franchises overall, it’s not bad, the quality is still there but the Passaic and Secaucus BKs make this look like a hole in the wall, especially because half the time they’ll get your order wrong. This is a place where what you see is what you get. Except with taste and pricing which is the same as the Banana Kings with seats and more accurate orders. Once again Food stays delicious but The service based on appearance isn’t surprising
Good late night spot, seems to be always packed regardless of time. Prices are decent, and food is good. For a fast food place with a Latin twist, I definitely recommend it.
Terrible experience, we were looking any place open at 1:30am and that was the only one around. We ordered a Hawaiian burger , one pandebono that wasn’t in the to-go bag, 2 beef empanadas she put chicken instead. Please triple check your order before leaving the store
