The reason there is two stars and not one is because Dr. Lovato and her medical nurses/assistants are outstanding. The reason I can't boast any further than that is because the staff in this office are a mess. I have had problems with the scheduler, getting calls back, getting accurate estimates on procedure costs because they were using the wrong billing code. I've been scheduled with out of network providers that became in-network less than a week later and the office would not do anything to assist in appealing with my insurance so I was out of pocket the cost of the full appointment. When I've been rescheduled for an appointment, I asked if they could verify this new practitioner was in network and she said no, that's not her job. Okie dokie. So, lesson is you truly have to be your own advocate and do not assume these staff members are "professional" and informed. It's been very stressful on top of the fact you're about to go through a very serious surgery, which is stressful enough. It's clear several staff members don't take of this into account, lacking any empathy, accountability, or understanding. Dr. Lovato is amazing and I have no regrets to have chosen her as my surgeon; it's a shame this office does not do her proper justice. If you are just starting your search, really read the reviews of these facilities so you know what you're getting into and expect to be your own expert and advocate.

Very pleasant people and extremely nice ..on time and very good at explaining everything to you about your health ..I would definitely recommend this facility..

They don't call you back when they say they will. They leave you hanging when you don't know what your next steps are. They claim they sent you an email when they didn't. And their coordinator doesn't respond to emails you send them. I realized that if they treat me like this at the very beginning of this process, how awful will it be later on? I came to the reviews because I wanted to see if it was just me they were not following through with, and I see that there are many others that have had the same experience. For this reason, I would rather not pursue this very serious type of surgery and decision making about the process through this department or hospital. I am starting to look elsewhere for bariatric help.

This clinic is amazing. Missed my appointment, and they got me in the next day. Everyone was super nice. Dr Landon was very informative and took the time to make sure that I understood everything. She took the time to listen to what I had to say. I felt very at ease with her. I would recommend her to anyone.

I wish I would of looked up these reviews, prior to my Brother having the Surgery. I would have never! Let him move forward with this procedure, He had his surgery on March 3, 2021 and Passed away on March 22, 2021. He kept telling me to get him out of this Hospital because the nurses there had been mistreating him. I did speak to several charge nurses regarding my brother's fear of the treatment he was receiving, no one seem to care. The doctor that perform the surgery "DR. LANDON" assured my brother that he would be fine and shouldn't have any complication, She said she did these surgeries to patients in his similar condition at least twice a week. The day of the surgery she called my sister to tell her the surgery had been a success, we asked how is my brother and she said we are waiting for him to wake of from the anesthesia. 2 hours later I called to find out if my brother had woken up from the anesthesia and the nurses still showed him in the OR. Next day, He was on a ventilator, no one called to advise us of his condition. We weren't allowed to be with him unless we terminated all medical treatment at the end of his life. We were outside of the hospital sleeping in our vehicles and denied access to restrooms, until the very last couple of hours of his life.

I love Dr Landin! She spent the time with me that I did not expect a surgeon to spend. I was totally comfortable and have had an amazing experience. I am so happy I had my surgery done by Dr Landin. Also the care I received on the Hospital floor was awesome. Shout out to my night nurse! He was amazing. And I have been in more than one hospital here in the valley. He ranks right up there as best patient care.

Have called 3 times to make an appointment after attending on line seminar. First time left a message for new patient coordinator gave her a month to call me back. Next attempt someone not a scheduler answered was told I would be called back. After 2 weeks I called again got a scheduler told new patient coordinator had to schedule it and they were not available but would call me back and a supervisor would be copied on the request. 3 full business days later nothing. Why even pretend to be in business yes medicine in America is a business if you don't want patients/ clients/customers. I h Just cannot fathom that they are so busy during a pandemic that they can just ignore people trying to make appointments.

I took a webinar at this hospital because there is a surgeon who does a procedure that is very rare. However, I have not received any call backs from my emails. I understand its a very hectic time due to COVID and folks are busy. But its been 3 weeks since i provided my insurance info and I still have not heard back. I really wanted to get a second opinion from one of their doctors but it looks like that might not happen :-.

My experience with Banner health for my gastric sleeve was honestly amazing. The team that worked with Dr. Levoto were exceptional! My surgical team made sure I felt comfortable, reassured and perfectly normal for any feelings I was having. One of the surgeons even held my hand while I was being prepped in the OR until I fell asleep. I cant explain how amazing it felt to know i was in good hands. I could go on and on about each individual, truly. Once I was out of surgery and brought to my room, the nurses went above and beyond to go out of there way to take care of me. Preston, Andri, Yudi, and many many more amazing nurses/staff made my stay calm, comfortable, and actually made me laugh!! Now if you have had gastric sleeve surgery, you know it's not easy to crack a smile but with these amazing people and each doctor who check on me daily, I truly am blessed to have had such an amazing experience. Dr.Evan is someone I wanted to point out and I think deserves a lot of praise, working with me for the past several months to get me mentally healthy for this transition in my life. I can honestly say it would have been 10× harder to do if I didnt have him on my side. He is an exceptional doctor/psychologist and wonderful person all around! As I said before, I could go on and on about the people that work at Banner, but I'd probably be here quite a while. I would recommend this hospital to anyone who wants genuinely good service and wonderful people on their side. -Sierra F.
