This place was nice. You get a pitcher of water, very similar to the izakayas in Japan. Loved the atmosphere. 2 unisex bathrooms. Service was A+, food was delicious, overall a positive experience. Restaurant was clean. Bathrooms were clean. The mango frozen drink is a must . Service was also on spot. Given this place a go. I was impressed for my first experience here.
Been coming here for years. They've made some small changes but the food remains consistently delicious and service is great. Get the side of rice with chicken fat drippings!! And fyi the spice bomb ain't that spicy but it's definitely a wow factor. Also. It looks like a lot of onion but the way they thinly shave it and maybe shock it in ice water?? It's so crisp and sweet. I almost asked for more.
Delicious. Best ramen I've ever had. I had spicy miso. Recommend a side of chicken to go with it. Broth is rich and creamy. Not too salty. Noodles are cooked perfectly. Filling and tasty meal. Efficient staff got us in and out quickly.
Quirky eclectic fun dishes for the ramen loving and fried chicken crowd. The shoyu ramen was tasty and they say the noodles are flown in from Japan for them. Buttered rice was tasty and fried chicken was spicy and crispy. Good selection of beers and helpful staff. They will add 22% tip automatically but we didn’t mind.
Great weekend brunch, get there slightly before they open to avoid the lines! We rolled up at 12:01 and we were already too late and waited about an hour for a table! The good news is that the wait is worth it! Also, if you live in the hood you can place and order and pick it up too. The spicy miso ramen hit the spot for my super picky husband who just spent theee years eating ramen in Japan. The fried chicken and waffles is not to be missed! The fried chicken was just like my grandmothers and the waffle was really a waffle donut. We grabbed a cookie to go for our walk home- it was crunchy and soft all at the same time! The best chocolate chip cookie ever.
I was going to give 4 stars due to in a normal weekday around 7.30 pm I couldn't find an available spot to park. I drived cycles for almost 20 minutes to park. Rather than thay they serve halal chicken, cozy atmosphere, nice place and really delicious food. To understand a restaurant, take a look at the bathroom, it gives all the info. I also attached some photos from bathroom.
This was my first time trying miso ramen. I really enjoyed it at Bantam King! In addition to the fact that this place serves halal, their food is very delicious. Even though it was a little pricey for a simple Japanese ramen dish $20, I’m glad I got to try it and finally try the naruto fish cake. If you try the ramen and think it’s a little bland, I recommend asking for some ichimi powder see pics. It goes so well with the ramen and brings out its flavor. The service here was super! My server was very welcoming and attendant. They do require a service charge of ~$4 when you dine in, which made my bill reach $20 for only the miso ramen. But I honestly think it was worth it.
After the fiasco that was the Red Eye Market, we went here. The fried chicken was absolutely delicious along with the side of rice. The chicken ramen was amazing too although I think it didn’t sit well for my stomach. So that’s why 4 instead of 5 stars.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
Perhaps even better than Daikaya around the corner. Gyoza was definitely a pleasant surprise - reminded me of chili wontons; just the right amount of spice. Spicy Miso Ramen was fantastic as well - I like my ramen broth rich, and this definitely hit correctly. Service is fast - in and out in less than 30 mins
Honestly, the ramen was so good. The service was very nice and it helped that I had good company. The spice miso wasn't too spicy, no running nose but enough heat to recognize. You could taste the peanut in it. The broth was thick enough to hang on your noodles and it was also drinkable at the end. First time in DC and definitely a place in I'll come back to so I can try to fried chicken on my next visit. Vegetarian options: They had them
