BaoKu Liu

Baoku Liu is a magician. I truly have never seen anyone do what he does. After going to several doctors over the course of a year, my friend recommended acupuncture because no one could figure out the cause of my back pain. I met with the Doctor, explained my symptoms and proceeded to acupuncture. He immediately identified the muscle that was causing me issues and placed needles accordingly. After 6-7 sessions my pain was gone and hasn’t been back for over two years. I was astonished. He is not your average acupuncturist - he has an innate knowledge of human anatomy and knows precisely how to fix your problems. I subsequently went to him for another issue and after 3 sessions most symptoms virtually went away. Every chance I get to come to NYC - booking an appointment with him is the first item on my list. If you still have not been… don’t go…. RUN!!! And consider yourself lucky that you have finally found a solution, because this stuff right here is not burn short of miracles.

I trust Dr. Liu. I had a shoulder injury that limited my mobility with pain, a very stiff neck and a right hand that would constantly go numb. Each doctor I visited, sent me to rounds of physical therapy. They helped, but it never provided me with relief no matter how diligently I did the exercises. Since seeing Dr. Liu, I have made tremendous progress. In yoga, I can fully turn my neck to see the back wall. With renewed shoulder mobility, I can reach things on a tall shelf and carry a heavy backpack without pain. My hand never falls asleep or tingles any more. Dr. Liu has worked wonders. Go see him and his wonderful caring staff. It’s life changing!

Expect to wait a minimum of 30 mins every single time you come in here. They book >5 patients for a single time slot. As a result, it’s a very long wait time in a tiny waiting room then in the actual room - then your appointment itself is rushed. Yes Dr Liu does great work, but it’s really not worth the horrible patient experience!

I have been going to Dr Liu for 20 years, as have many members of my family and friends. We have all received great results. He is the best acupuncturist working in the metropolitan area and has a great team/staff working with him. He has successfully treated everything from pulled back, sprained ankle, allergies, pre/post surgery recovery, etc.

I’ve been going to Dr Liu for the past 7 years. he is the best acupuncture doctor you can imagine. He cured my hip problem product of over-running. Once I brought my brother who couldn’t walk because of sciatic nerve problem, within 2 sessions my brother was walking normally and no pain. I’ve brought so many friends and family and he has helped them, hormones, muscles, bones, stomach, stress, any kind of problem Dr Liu can help. He is not the traditional Acupuncture doctor but he’s always on training and updating his knowledge with clases and seminars, he also teaches acupuncture. The office is full of very caring and kind professional that don’t treat you as a patient but as family. Dr Liu is the best!

I have recently shopped around for a new acupuncturist and tried many in the NYC area. Dr Baoku Liu is the best of all of them, and I am now a weekly patient. He listens, is extremely perceptive and always has a solution. Dr Liu is knowledgeable, intelligent and a true healer. He is always willing to answer questions and gives several options for treatment. Also, his staff is wonderful, accommodating and friendly. I am amazed at all they do for the patients. I highly recommend Dr Liu and his office for acupuncture!
