A small town music venue in the big city, located in Omaha's downtown Benson neighborhood. One half block south of Maple on 62nd.

The owner decked out this divey Benson spot with decorations from his father's basement bar. It feels homy and warm when you walk in, especially basking in the glow of one of those vintage animated Hamm's Beer signs. The staff are great and can tell you what's going on in the neighborhood on any given night. The tap selections are always changing, but there's something for everyone - Coors Light to local craft beer. Plenty of additional bottled craft beer as well. Prices are reasonable.
There's live music or comedy here most nights of the week, so don't be surprised if you're asked to pay a cover. The music venue side of the bar has tables and chairs, a nice stage and a recently updated sound system. It's a great place to have an intimate night out enjoying local music.
I love the Barley Street Tavern and have always felt at home here. They even have a resident bar cat who hangs out most of the time. You don't find things like that at many other places, and it only adds to Barley Street's uniqueness and charm. It's an Omaha gem.
