Excellent production of Rock of Ages. Very much enjoyed hearing all of the 80's songs. Fairly small theater, so there really aren't any bad seats. And the actors will come right out into the audience. The theater is aging, but it didn't detract at all from the performance.

I wonderful old theater in downtown Madison. It has been renovated to include two performance spaces: a bigger main stage and a black box theater. Local community theater groups utilize the space to put on familiar and original works. The quality of the productions range wildly but at its heart community theater is about helping everyone experience the Arts and in that capacity the Bartell always exceeds expectations.

Comfortable, small theater. Good views. Mimosas and beer were sold in the lobby.

Great old theater. The building is well maintained and has good AC for the summer. The seating is nice, (but the legroom left my 6'5" frame pretty sore). A great place downtown for local theater, been around for decades. Definitely worth checking out a show if you are in the area, they typically (though not always) will have seats available for walk-ins.

What a fun show! Harry Potter and the Pet Rock peduced by Murcury Players was clever and delightful! There is always something to see at the Bartell!
