Didn't grow up listening to opera music, but because of the Indianapolis Opera, I have found a new interest! Highly recommend "Opera in The Park" held at Garfield Park every September. Completely free and guaranteed to be a lovely evening and I suspect, it will wet your whistle!
Newly remodeled building makes for a nice facility for them now.
All the voices were full, pleasant and beautiful. Engaging program of traditional music mixed wonderfully with music from Leonard Bernstein, Irving Berlin, Rogers and Hammerstein. Pleasant and engaging.
If you’ve never had the opportunity to experience opera, Indy opera is a great place to get started.
Very affordable tickets for productions and really fun fundraising events! The Indianapolis Opera is a great way to support the arts in Indiana.
So thankful for great opera in this area! There are lots of free programs each season, so it's accessible for anyone.
