The one and only pasta eatery run by Japanese in NYC. They’ve been making simple yet delicious pasta dishes for over a decade. I believe the pasta dish with uni started here before the trend blew up. Def one of the most underrated restaurants in NYC.
Basta Pasta is a stronghold of Japanese-style Italian food, a rarity in the United States but a wonderful subgenre of cuisine in its own right. For your first visit, try a dish made with the gigantic cheese wheel, then branch out from there!
Had a amazing time here, the food was delicious and the service was great.
This is one of my top 3 favorite restaurants in NYC thus far. Everything I've eaten here has been so fresh, flavorful, and hands down amazing. Can't recommend it enough. Plus, they have happy hour from 5-7pm every day!
I have been there with mu bf. A bit expensive but super nice place. I love the pasta with prosciutto. It’s better to book before you go.

Delicious food and amazing service. Try to get seats facing the open kitchen. Greatly entertaining watching the chefs cook
