Bring my dog 2-3 times a year for a bath and nail trim whenever he’s shedding his coat and they always do a wonderful job making him look brand new! Decent prices and great customer service too !
I brought my dog for showering and simple hair cut back to Mid February. He came back with horrible smell, sticky tail and sticky gross back legs. I left an email to the store and the store responded immediately saying it’s because while my dog waiting for me pick up, he pee on himself and no one noticed. It is already disappointing that I’m sending my dog for a shower and came back with pee and no one pay attention on him while he’s waiting for pick up and this is $60+ shower service. The store promised to compensate a free grooming experience next time and I accept it, understanding that things happen. HOWEVER, when I try to contact to make appointment for the promised free grooming experience, no one responded ever after and it now being entire week. Which is adding the disappointment.
Talk to you as if they are doing you a favor for a $200 haircut. The haircut itself is not an issue, but for that price you would expect a simple thank you or even some basic gratitude. Not an aggressive “do you want to tip?” Over the phone they only take CC payments over phone before pick up Third tier service - not sure if my dog is happy but I certainly am not
I brought my dog to this groomer for over 2 years now, and over the years things got worst and worst. I kept bringing my dog because they do a good job at grooming dogs, but month after month, the waiting became longer and longer, and the owner more rude at every visit. Despite dropping my dog for her appointment, after waiting 4h and a half, I had to call them to check on my dog. The Owner basically scream at you like you are her son, because you have the audacity to ask why she keeps your dog for 4h and a half and did not even start grooming her. Useless to let you know, when you spend $150 on a haircut for your dog, the minimum you expect is an okay customer service and a great experience for your dog. I Will never go back even if i was paid to, doesn’t worth your dog stressing in a 4 by 4 cage for 5h because the owner can’t manage her business and schedule.
We have been going to this place for several years ever since our dog was a very young puppy. We recently moved from JC to further up north and thought we had to say goodbye to this place because it was going to be too far. However, after trying out another place near our new place we realized the difference between a great groomer and an ok groomer is really night and day. So now we decided that we would keep going to Be Happy Dog for his grooming despite the long drive, because our dog looks so much better afterwards, AND he's not as scared.
Don't come here. The first time I brought my little puppy was okay, but every time after i was always told that my dog was matted and that they basically had to shave him down almost each time, and this was after daily brushing through his entire body. I even brush him right before his grooming appointments and somehow he's still "matted" and that they have no choice but to shave him down. Brought him to a few other groomers since then and not one had any issues with "matting", I even specifically asked if he had any matting issues and they all said no. This place used to be good, now it's just horrendous and has gone downhill in the last year. They lie about "matting" so they can shave down your dog for less work and then charge you extra money. My dog literally cried whenever he was brought here and would refuse to go inside unless I carried him in. Then when I pick him up, the owner gets extremely rude and aggressive saying that I don't brush or properly brush him and make accusatory statements. 0/5 stars if I could give it. Do NOT bring your dog here anymore.
They gave my cat a great trim and wash and even gave her a little bandana that matches her eyes
Bath work was okay and my pet was fine. - 1 point off for price: ~$75 for bath a small breed without large amount of haircut/groom is quite expensive around the area - 1 point off for weird payment method: if you wanna pay by card, they only allow u to give them card number and cvv over phone call! which is super weird and unsafe
I used to recommend every new dog owner I met in Hoboken to this groomer. Unfortunately at our last cut I asked why the prices were so high - we were paying $80 and it jumped up to $110 for a small dog.To this the owner and I assume her husband became very aggressive. And he was approaching me to try to intimidate me. Very unprofessional. As they have become busier the cuts have progressively gotten worse and the staff less friendly. Will not be returning nor returning nor recommending any longer
