I hardly come to the 99cent ranch market due to cleanliness, atmosphere and vendor food types but after stopping by for alterations I chose to get an avocado banana coconut smoothie at bees. The owner was very nice and made an excellent drink for me to beat the heat. She also mentioned they purchased cups from another vendor who went out of business. The moved really helped her save while being environmentally friendly. Stop in if not for that reason alone. Thx Bees!
Delicious!! The lady who took my order was so patient, as I had lots of questions and changed my order three times. She didn’t even seem bothered at all. Super kind and helpful. Awesome customer service! And the drinks were amazing!!
When you first walk in, it was quite dark. It looks like a lot of open space that resembled much like a cafeteria with vendors lined up along the sides. But that's not what we are rating. I am an avid boba lover and I can say whole heartedly that I have had better. I would say that if you're in the area and are really craving boba, then stop by. But, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Staff was friendly and there are plenty of flavors on the menu. We got two drinks. My husband got the milk tea smoothie and we both tried it. It lacked flavor, tasting a bit like sugar water with no remnants of tea. He rated it a 2/5 stars. I got the pineapple lychee black tea with rainbow jelly. It was flavorful and I have no complaints for my drink.
Been coming here for years and love their Black Tea/Coffee Pearl Tea. Burgers and especially their Fries are delicious too! Owners are very nice and friendly. Will have to go to NEX for my bubble tea fix when Home Depot takes over. :-
This place is one of the hidden gems in the Moanalua-Salt lake area. It’s my favorite shave ice place on the island. They also have delicious flavored bubble teas. The boba is yummy and the smoothies are always smooth and sweet, never chunky. The #6 shave ice bowl is my go to with rainbow strawberry, pineapple and vanilla shave ice, vanilla ice cream, mochi balls and condsensed milk to top it off. And best of all, the prices are still very affordable over the years. I heard a rumor that Home Depot is attempting to purchase the ranch99 where this location is at. I really hopes the community rallies around the small businesses in the ranch99 to save them. Bees is one of the many awesome small businesses still around from my childhood and I hope they continue to sell their amazing desserts for years to come.
This is an Asian style dessert shop that has a huge selection of treats to select from and all at very reasonable prices. They got it all. The ingredients are good, everything made to order, very tasty, and priced right for good value. They got healthy options as well. I got the Banana and Sesame smoothie and was very pleasantly surprised by this drink. Very tasty and not to sweet. Texture was blended perfectly, so there was no grit from the sesame seeds. Also tasted very natural, so you know they didn't add any junk in it to. The main draw back is the location. Located in the old 99 Ranch Market way out of the way in Mapunapuna, you really have to have a reason to go there if you are in the mood for one of their numerous sweet treats. If you do get out there, it is totally worth it.
Went to get shave ice with my little nephew. The lady said that there wasn't any shave ice left, yet their machines was still running. When she realize it was for my nephew she said "yeah we can make it" it sounded to me like she didn't want to make the shave ice for us lol
Very friendly staff. Great selection. I had halo-halo which was good. Next time we'll see if we can just get a bowl of the purple ube ice cream that was on the top. It was easily the star of the dessert. My daughter was a big fan of her blue vanilla cookie smoothie. Tasted like "a sugar cookie wrapped in cotton candy." I gained five pounds just typing that. Will return once out of the diabetic coma...
This is definitely a new favorite of mine. Although I live in the central area of Oahu, I will travel this far for boba. Now days I have to call though as I've traveled a few times, only to find the shop is closed during posted scheduled hours. Very disappointing and kind of ruins a mood if you're not already in the area. Other than that I'm happy. The drink I get is on the pricier side since I have double the amount if add ins as regular. The staff seem like a family so it's laid back. There are lots of items on the menu to choose from, not just drinks. Lots of parking available around the building. Definitely check it out.
Delicious and refreshing boba teas served here. It's the first place that I have ever gotten boba from. The owners are very nice and it's definitely a small hole in the wall dessert house! Will always come here if I'm in the area and need my boba fix.
