Quaint joint in Little Italy serving up a variety of fresh pastas and sauces/gravies for all tastes. We made a last minute call to grab dinner here versus some of the other “big names” on Hanover. And we had a really nice experience. We started with excellent wine options, fresh bread and oil, and then moved on to a wonderful set of entrees. Personally, I ordered the bolognese with gnocchi and loved it. Other amazing reviews at the table came over the lobster ravioli. Service was also outstanding. You can tell the folks working here want to be there and want you to love their food as much as they do. Easy recommendation.
We were looking around for a place to eat and came across this amazing restaurant! I'm lactose intolerant and gluten free, so it can be difficult to find good food I can eat. The host was outside on the sidewalk and when he saw us looking at the menu, he came over and verified they had gluten free options and was very engaging and welcoming! They offer gluten free pizza crust AND noodles and the server helped me find a sauce without dairy, so that I could actually have pasta while eating out! The food was amazing - so flavorful. Definitely going back when I visit Boston again! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options made totally separate and willing to modify a meal to make it intolerance friendly. Cannot promise there is no dairy contamination.
Stopped in for lunch on a weekday, getting there around 11AM and they weren’t very busy. Service was excellent. The venue is great, though very small, with an open kitchen, where you can see the flames from the sautéing and the pizzas being prepped and baked. They offer many appetizing Italian appetizers, entrées, pizzas, etc. I ordered their chicken marsala over fusilli and it was really good! Their homemade pasta was excellent, as was their homemade bread! Highly suggest stopping in for a try!
The service was nice and dining environment is pleasant as the main floor is open to the surroundings. The food on the other hand isn’t so great. My pasta sauce was essentially just heavy cream with no flavor. One of the worst sangrias I’ve ever had. Should’ve been a sign because all the other restaurants in little Italy were packed except this one.
A great fast Italian meal. The bruschetta was delicious. The pizza was we ordered was great, but nothing special. They did sit us down straight away, but told us they only had open seating at the bar when there were several tables empty, though it was still fine at the bar.Food: 4/5
Good Italian in the North End. The rating should be 3+ but not a 4. Being European you are not used to pay close to 30$ for a pasta but that is the price range in this area so not much to do about that... We had the amatriciana and the pesto pasta we chose the linguini for both disches. We had some garlic bread and shared a cannoli as dessert. Cocktails for drinks a minus for serving the drinks in plastic glasses ! rather than wine this time. A summary would be a typical italian in the North End.
Right on Hanover St in the North End, so often busy. The fig salad is wonderful! Wait staff efficient and attentive. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
Friendly service, large windows all around that open up to the street. Food was pretty good but nothing special.Food: 4/5
This bustling, family-friendly restaurant was one of the highlights of our Boston trip! My wife said the Orechiette BenCotto was the best thing she’s eaten in quite some time, and I agree! The saltimbocca had all the right proportions and was full of favor throughout the dish. And the service was friendly and fun!Food: 5/5
Must try the lobster ravioli it was the favorite! We ordered the shrimp scampi, Carbonara too and were phenomenal. Best place we ate all week. Sat downstairs and had the Italian feel that was cool too.Food: 5/5
