Still Amazing. The lunch plate is well worth the money, my hubby laughed that after all thus time the soda is still just a $1. First time I ate @ Benny's I was 12 with my older brother. The lunch plate was the intro he gave me for tacos, rice, and beans. Blew my mind . High School with my then boyfriend now hubby had him take me there for a lunch date yeah he looked @ me funny food truck & all, he tried it and loved it he doesn't eat hard shell tacos mind you. Moved to the south and tried/settled for alternatives but nothing compares. Flew back home a week or so ago and took our children, claims it was ok but all of them cleaned their plates in a freezing car - it was -1°F lol . Now they are ready to have more in June. Thank you Benny's food wagon for the Amazing memories and the Delicious food that has stayed the same all these years. See you again in June .
One of the best hole in the wall spots around anchorage. I’ve been coming here since the 90’s with my parents. The workers are very respectful, food comes within minutes of ordering, the fried burritos with hot sauce is just delicious. I love this place.
Have been eating at Bonnie's food wagon since 1995. Great food everytime. My kids and grand kids go all the time as well. Kid-friendliness: Kids got free churros Parking: It is a food truck, loads of parking Wheelchair accessibility: Again, it is a food truck, loads of parking...
This place has been a regular stop for my family for as long as I can remember. The people who own it are endlessly friendly and remember their customers and have been making amazing food for years. If you're looking for a tiny local place for food, I definitely recommend Benny's!!
Not sure what any reviewers that gave over one star have had from a authentic Mexican food truck but this place is really far from being good. Ordered the Asada burrito and got a rice burrito with a spoonful of unflavored meat. Plenty of rice and beans on the plate if that is considered good? I rarely throw away food but half way into it I accepted the disappointment and disposed of. My apologies for honest review as the lady who took my order was very nice. I might have caught them on an off day but will not be visiting again..
Like so many others it's nostalgic to eat at a place that has been around for decades. That's the best part tho. Living the memory. Big portions for the price. Service is friendly and warm and welcoming to all. Food not so much. Just barely warm and sadly not really very tasty and not the quality of visits from long ago.
I have been coming to Benny's since the 70's and have yet to have a bad experience. The food is so good the cheese burritos are my favorite, ingredients are fresh, and the hot sauce is a family secret. In my opinion, they are the best, most authentic Mexican food in town.
This place is my old reliable for a cheap and delicious plate of mexican food when I'm in the area. The wait time is short, the portions are ample and the food hits the spot everytime. I could eat a trough of the beans and rice alone, but I can't risk asphyxiating myself while sleeping from the inevitable gaseous results. Moderation in everything people.
Been eating here for 6 years since its close to my work. Their fried burritos very addicting. I also like their carne asada and rice. The family is also super sweet and nice too. The son will deliver my food to my work place if it gets too busy. Highly recommended!
Bean burritos, rice and beans is all I have been ordering since I was a kid. My mom used to eat here in high school in the 70's. Consistently good - I'm never let down here. They've since expanded the menu with some great offerings, but the crispy burritos are definitely unique!
