My ordeal started in March 2022 with this office but its to long to go into so I will just give the facts for what just happened a week ago. The Oral Surgeon, Dr. Carlos is wonderful but whoever is scheduling the appointments needs to go back to school to learn time frames. Patients should be given enough time so that the next patient is not stuck waiting over an hour to be seen especially just for a consult. I have to come in on October for a procedure, wondering whether I should bring a pillow and blanket.
All they care about is money . Once I told them my afterplan wasn’t with them , everything turned left . Also , they had my mom on hold and never got the manager but they was all sitting around doing nothing . I got pictures Then , they had the girls talk to me , then men are horrible and very unprofessional . Rude and I would never give them a dollar . They was not so nice at all ! Rate 0 . The lady at the front just talks about how people make appointments and don’t answer the phone when they call , yet half these comments are them not answering the phone calls !!! the audacity!
I’ve been trying to get in contact with the oral surgeons office for a month and a half now to set up a day to get my wisdom teeth removed . I already had the consultation and they told me my insurance approved it . I told them I would call a few days later to schedule the day since I didn’t know my work schedule the day of my consultation. I’ve called the number 5 times now since October . The customer service line tells me they attempted to call the office and sent multiple emails and have not received anything back from them.
do NOT go here. i went there maybe two months ago for an emergency visit about pain in my wisdom tooth. they did nothing. i went back two weeks later to get a cavity filled. he put numbing cream on my gums and put the needle elsewhere. he gave me no after instructions. i went home and my filling my falling out. my mouth was numb all day. my mouth kept repeatedly going numb on and off every day for two weeks. i couldn’t chew on that side without being in so much pain. to this day! we went back to get it checked and they blamed me for it. they said i was “grinding my teeth” when i’ve never done that. they told me to stop chewing on that side and told me to brush more and put mouth wash on it. i can’t even brush my teeth without it hurting or drink anything. if i could give you stars in the negative i would.
I scheduled an appointment with the receptionist and I get a call the week of the appointment saying how they’re not open on that day. Why would she schedule me on a day they’re not open? Mind you they’re had to push my appointment back a month prior this appointment. So now I have to wait ANOTHER month 2 months at this point to be seen for a consultation. Horrible customer service, I’m being punished for the wrong doing of what their staff member did to me.
I had a horrible experience with this practice, I went with them because they were close and took my insurance however, my problem is they originally asked me if I’d like to save my tooth that had been badly broken and causing me some serious pain as time went on. I said “yes I’d like a root canal if at all possible” they assured me it was possible I just had to wait for confirmation from my insurance, a couple weeks go by and my insurance mailed me saying they had not received the required information from A-1 Dental, I called them and left a message informing them they had forgotten information and to please send it out so I can save my tooth, all while experiencing some of the worst pain I’ve ever had to endure I tried to be patient, long story short they failed me and I needed to get an emergency tooth extraction because I couldn’t deal with the pain any longer reaching my breaking point, I’m now $800 down the hole and had to lose my tooth because of their unprofessional practice to later need to replace the space left by my molar. Thanks for nothing. I do not advise anyone use them.
This is the worst dental office I have ever been to. I found them through my insurance first time going there I'm 15 minutes late because it's the first time there they send me to the wrong room in the building. I get to the right room the girl asks me and my checking and I say yes. My name and then she says well we're going to have to reschedule your appointment because you're more than 20 minutes late which I wasn't, I was only 15 minutes late. Then proceeded to tell me that the doctor is overbooked, why would you over book your doctor if you have appointments set. Listen I'm all fine with you rescheduling if I'm an hour late I was 15 minutes late this is the first time that this dentist and she treated me like a piece of you know what. They can charge me a hundred or 200 for sitting and waiting in an overbooked office for an hour but because they canceled me within 15 minutes. I can't get my hour back that I wasted going there. I would not recommend this dentist to anybody, and I mean anybody! find somewhere else to go this place is horrible and the people working there are miserable!!!!!
Maybe this good review below is to impress new patience. My experience afterwards has been not so great. Had to have some real work done which I didn't mind. But had a filling come out and it took two weeks to get a emergency an appointment then was referred to an oral surgeon just for tooth extraction. This is not good service or surely will be calling the insurance company. The current rating reflects my most recent experience with this office. Also known as A1 Family Dental Care. Dr. J really takes care of his patients you can tell that he cares for them. With the front staff I did not have any problems. I spoke to a patient that's been coming here for many years and they said they love coming here. I scheduled a follow-up visit and was able to get an appointment within a week's time. I was able to schedule this appointment within 3 days notice they seem to take care of their patients.
I had a mix experience with A1 family dental. The people that work there are pretty nice, but not very caring. Had to wait quite a bit, but my visits were definitely worth it. I had a full set of dentures made and put them in. The dentures themselves are amazing. They fit perfectly and look like real teeth. If someone doesn't know I have dentures they would never be able to tell. Most of the time the office will work with you, but sometimes it's just hard to get an appointment in quickly. Overall great dentist to go with and highly recommended
Negative Stars!!! This was an excellent facility years ago with a great staff prior to going under the A-1 umbrella. The Dentist and staff were outstanding. After it went under A-1 all the dentist which we were extremely happy with servicing myself and my 3 other family members left the practice. The dentist I chose from those that remained was disorganized as was the remaining staff. Appointments ran late and they would no longer even attempt to schedule my family on the same day. They asked how many in my family to which I replied 4 and the receptionist stated they could see no more than 3 per family on the same day as a policy. We weren't all going to see the same dentist so why this odd policy? I was not given an answer other than it is office policy. The last straw came when I was scheduled for 2 procedures on the same day, however when I arrived the dentist was running late by over 30 minutes and tried to split the procedures without consulting me. When I complained her demeanor made me uncomfortable and it appeared she might attempt to rush through my procedures so I declined and left. That was 2 years ago. Recently, I saw they had a new dentist and staff so I decided to give them another try. I arrived and waited 25 minutes past my scheduled appointment before the staff asked for my insurance card. When I inquired how much longer it would be the receptionist said we wasn't sure but said I'd be next. She then told me they were having computer problems and asked if I wanted to reschedule. No thanks!!!
