really awesome bagels here. i usually get the veggie tofu spread but this bagel my friend got. it's a little more dense and chewy then other bagels i prefer but the store is super clean and the staff is always quick and on top of their stuff. i live close so ill def be coming back here on the regular
I went to a camp a block away at Pratt maybe 5 or 6 years ago and for a month would come get these bagels often. It’s been years and I still miss their pesto cream cheese. The fact that I still remember this place 5 years later… They were pretty great bagels!
This place never disappoints! From great service to the cleanliness, the bagels are always soft, fresh, big and delicious! ! Their specialty cream cheese are also amazing! Highly recommend
Don’t let them fool you. I ask every time, “were these bagels made today?” I get a YES every time. At 7:30 am, a fresh bagel should not be cold and firm!! Lol. A bagel only stays fresh for 2-4 hours after baking it. I like the amount of salt you put on your everything. Most places put hardly any. Edit: I raised my review to 3 stars because they have good customer service. It’s a pleasant atmosphere.
charged me $16 for a sesame bagel w lox spread. bagel was good. they have expired drinks
Lived in the neighborhood almost 20 years, and one expect management will change over the years. So does the taste in bagels. I stopped going to Bergen Bagels for some years, because I thought the bagels were too dry. But I recently returned to this site, and liked my purchase of plain and cinnamon and raisin bagels one morning, decent crust on the outside, soft and doughy inside, so that the butter melted right in. Will likely visit this site again.
Great bagels with an incredible variety of cream cheeses. Coffee was fresh and tasty as well. Friendly staff with a great attitude.
Best bagel store around !! Fresh coffee and bagels with amazing cream cheese flavors!! Love the service and can’t wait to go back for more!!
I went to Bergen just after 6am. They had just opened. I had a toasted salt bagel with lox, cream cheese, capers, red onions, and a light and sweet coffee. It was good but not worth $16. There is plenty of seating. There are a few stairs within the store that lead to the counter but they do have a lift for those who can't do stairs. Despite the crazy price, I would still choose Bergen over the Dunkin Donuts across the street. When in New York...
I want to love Bergen Bagels but it’s really inconsistent - some days great, other days really dry bagels that do not seem fresh at all.
