Story

Barry Bettencourt, owner and operating of BES Auto Repair, not only fails as a mechanic and business owner, he fails as a community citizen as well.

To read my main story-- of how his negligence almost killed a customer's dog in a van fire-- follow a series of post on the wall. Here's another comment I pulled off the internet:

" Barry Bettencourt will rip you off. Worst practices ever and VERY SLOW! Also, been cited by the city for illegal dumping in 2003 and been investigated by KHNL again. He has an excuse for everything. I bought all the parts, sometimes paying over $100 for shipping from the mainland, that he said he needed. He even called by dad while I was gone complaining he wanted to finish the truck asap and he didn't have the parts. So I got the parts, gave them to him, and he did nothing for 2 weeks. Finally went and got my truck and took it to a real mechanic. Everything Barry Bettencourt said he was going to do was done in a day and for half the price Barry cost me to do 4 times the work. This is a very bad deal and he will rip you off. Full of excuses. Even had a hard time getting him to return my calls and give me back the parts I bought. Very very dissatified."
