Just got my new pink luggage from Beyond! The store changed and looks completed different now. But they always have great selection of shoes and great price! Staff are very cool and very helpful.
Loved their selection. They offer some great high quality clothing and shoes. I was surprised to see that they sell YSL here and some other high brands. I bought a great place of rag and bone pants on sale!!! They also had a huge selection of Vince on sale as well. They have some great pieces and beautiful outerwear. Expensive but some high end brands on sale. I can't comment too much on their customer service, the shoe people were helpful. I think their return policy may not be that great but luckily going to keep my purchases
I've walked into the tannery many times. Most of my experiences there have been negative. Their fast fashion goes out of style quickly then looks weird. Then there's no quality to fall back on. The prices are usually way higher the quality of the brands craftsmanship or materials. Today i went in looking for shoes and when I declined to buy a pair that didn't feel right the angry bald guy mocked my sneakers.
The owner of the Tannery was "working" in the store when my daughter and I were interested in some of their shoes. He was extremely loud and obnoxious commenting on everything going on in the store. Little did I realize it was a huge mistake to ask him to inform our salesman that we wanted to try another pair of shoes from the stock room. I did this to save time for the salesman who was already back there searching for us. Sam, the obnoxious owner, began ranting and raving about the fact that he owned 20 cars, lived at the Ritz and had 300 employees. He then physically demonstrated that they all smell his sh... and how arrogant the Jews and Lebanese were! Evidently I insulted him by asking him to actually do something constructive and helpful. Everyone in the store was stunned and as we left I suggested to those entering not to ask Sam for a pair of 7.5's! We were shell shocked when we left but had a much better experience online with Zappo's buying the same shoes for less .I will never go into any of the Tannery's since this disgusting person owns them all.
They are terrible with customer service. I bought shoes from the table outside of their store. It doesn't say final sale on the sign on the table and the cashier didn't say it and it's not written on my receipt. I tried shoes on that were tight, sales person said they should stretch in 1/2 hr. They didn't stretch and my feet hurt, I wasn't comfortable. The cashier said if there was a problem, come back. I did and tried to return them. The guy says is it's a final sale, no apologies or compromise. I said, it's stated anywhere! He didn't care, totally indifferent and said I should get a stamp! Well yes! . That's wrong. They won't get my business ever again and they don't deserve even 1 star! That's not how you do business. In this case, the customer was right!
I've been here twice to look at men's shoes. The first time, the guy that helped me didn't really seem to want to wait on me he did bring me the shoes I asked for, but then pretty much left me alone. I bought a pair, only because they had the color I wanted that Zappos didn't at the time. The second time, a younger woman waited on me, and while she didn't appear to be very knowledgeable about the boots I was inquiring about, she did ask me several times how things were going. This place has a good selection, but their return policy is terrible, and the service seems to be "iffy" at best. Worth checking out, but I wouldn't buy anything here again unless I was certain I wanted it. You can't really return shoes once they've been worn outside anyway, but if you're uncertain at all, buy elsewhere.
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! Came in with my son to purchase a pair of shoes...avg price in this store is upwards of $300-$400 mind you...so you would expect at least to get decent service when you are going to plop $400 into their register. HOWEVER, that is not the case in this establishment !!! The sales person who attended to us of middle eastern origin was VERY RUDE and when we did not purchase the shoes he showed us, pretty much shouted us out of the store after we paid for the shoes my wife decided to purchase. Maybe in the Shouk, this is the way business is transacted; however, this is the United States of America and here a client expects to be treated with respect. I have NEVER been treated this way and will not be returning EVER...I urge you not to patronize this store unless you want to be mistreated! For what its worth, they also have another branch on Boyleston street in Boston and the service there is notably different.
The Tannery is unfortunately one of the only stores that carries Shoes made in Spain, Brazil, Italy. I refuse to buy from China so...II LOVE IT. I BUY MY boots in the summer and my sandals in the Fall, that makes it affordable. Find a nice salesperson and stick with them and you can get great buys.
The shoe selection covers a wide range of styles. The prices are reasonable and match online sellers. Service is solid, they get you the shoes you want promptly. Nothing really to complain about if you aren't a drama queen.
I went to BEYOND today, a very cold day in boston. Before I go, I called and the guy confirmed with me they have Canada goose trillium in black , XL. So I went there, greeted by them. He found that black trillium XL in the back storage room, I compared with red, graphite, and black, finally chose black. Paid and this coat keep me very warm. Very pleasant shopping experience. But the CG coat 10% discount, is final sale, nonrefundable. I'm going to keep it anyway, for someone who does not know their store policy, maybe get a bit upset. Overall, shopping experience for me is great.
