39 W. Lexington St. is one of the very best buildings I have looked at in looking for an apartment in Baltimore over a period of several months. The building and its lobby are magnificent and make a great first impression. It is the only building I have considered that has both security and a person at the front desk 7/24. The apartments I toured there are clean and attractive with beautiful large windows and impressive kitchens. It is in a great location with the only Downtown grocery store nearby. I ultimately chose a different apartment building in Downtown Baltimore that had several advantages over 39 W. Lexington St.: hardwood floors instead of carpeting; a microwave in the kitchen; trash removal, water and wifi included in the rent; guarantee of an in-unit washer and dryer only some units at 39 W. Lexington St. have in-unit washer and dryer; and individual billing for electricity. The last one was a major consideration. I heard several horror stories about tenants with enormous utility bills in buildings that do not have individual unit billing. That makes sense to me because in those buildings no one has an incentive to economize in their use of electricity and heating and air conditioning. I much prefer being able to economize and only pay for what I use in my own apartment. I still have a very high impression of 39 W. Lexington St. and would recommend it for anyone looking for an apartment in Downtown Baltimore.
I'm a former resident and also agree with someone else who said 39 West Lexington is one of the best apartments in Baltimore. Very good pricing, utilities are bundled, beautiful, spacious interiors, no pests at all, and it genuinely feels like a cozy home in each apartment. The apartments also have very nice ceiling to floor windows with nice views. Gym is awesome too. You will have little to no problems ever and if you do it will be taken care of asap. Staff are incredible and very helpful. Thank you to Adrienne and Adrian in leasing for being super helpful during my difficult application process, thank you to the building manager Steve for always being helpful, and thank you Lindel at concierge as well for always being nice and knowledgeable.
I have lived at 39 West Lex for nearly 13 years. I have found the front desk staff, maintenance crew, and property manager all responsive to my needs and are very friendly people. Rent was very fair, especially for a downtown property, and you only pay a small proportion of the total utility costs. The location cannot be beat in terms of walkability to a nearby grocery store, great restaurants/bar in Mt Vernon, to Camden Yards, and to the attractions in the Inner Harbor.
I looked around 10 apartments in Baltimore and chose 39 West Lexington for following reasons. 1. All staffs are so friendly and always helpful. - I am pregnant due next month and they always tried to help me out. They are all SM employees and provide good quality service even the maintenance are great and considerate. Additionally, Small birthday card and cupcake was so touching event. 2. Reasonable price - Compared with one apartment of Light street, 39 Lexington is cheaper with better view and double spacious room for same price. 3. Flexible lease term - They tried to consider our specific situation when we made lease agreement. Also, we could pay weekly bases by online which is not available in one apartment in Light street. 4. Always clean and using utilities is convenient - Not too many residents on each floor. So laundry and dry machine is always availabe. And I always didn't have to wait for elevators for long time unlike one in Light street. I compared a lot with one in Light street because 39 Lexington and there were two top on our list. Facilities like lounge, swimming pool and fancy interior looked better in Light street but overally in living standpoint, I can say 39 West Lexington is the best.
I've lived in 39 W Lexington for recent 2 years 2021-2023. I guarantee that 39 W Lexington is the best apartment in Baltimore! The exterior and interior of the apartment are very clean and beautiful. The leasing staff Steve Speicher and the front desk staffs are all very kind and nice. And especially the apartment management/maintenance services are great. If you request for maintenance, they always solve it in up to two days. I've never felt any shortcomings while living here. Thanks 39!
I’ve had a wonderful experience living at 39! The management staff from Steve to everyone at the front desk to all the maintenance people, is so responsive, kind, and accommodating. I have felt very safe especially with the 24h concierge service! The building and apartments are clean and very well maintained. All my maintenance requests always get resolved within 24h and I’ve never had any major issues. I highly recommend 39 W Lexington!
39 west Lexington is a great community! The apartments are beautiful and spacious with lovely finishes. The community is conveniently located close to shops, dining, and entertainment. The maintenance team responds quickly to request. Also, the management team is great Steve is super responsive to any and all questions! The front desk staff is pleasant. You will not be disappointed by listing 39 west Lexington as your first choice on your top five list during your apartment search!
On 08/22/17 So far so good. Excellent view! On 03/07/18 6 months ago my son & I was relocated to this fabulous place until our primary residence had been renovated. God we thank U for an awesome experience. The staff @ 39 W. Lexington Str were super fantastic! From every concierge, every property manager & to include every maintenance person. We both wanted for nothing during our stay. I especially enjoyed the hot chocolate day & nite! My aides & nurses enjoyed this location as well. The only drawback was the congestion of being downtown. If I had to sum up this experience it would be called, "All access GRANTED!"
I have been staying at 39W Lexington for a couple of years now, and it's been wonderful. -The management is super helpful. -Any issues/concerns are resolved within a day. -Building location is great. -The concierge service is very efficient in handling packages and day to day stuff.
I came to live in 39 on the recommendation of a friend. And I couldn't have picked a better place in Baltimore. The building is very beautiful and clean all the time! The apartments are very well finished and great layout. The staff team is excellent, maintenance is quickly, front desk is always helpful and polite, and the manager, Steve is very friendly and professional! He is always willing to help! In addition to keep the community safe, we also count on the security guards state troopers service in front of the building! I highly recommend this building if you are looking for a nice and safe place to live!
