Nice store lots of sporting goods and many different things for camping and hunting. Staff was really nice and the store was clean. Went to buy boots and was in and out in 15 minutes. The shoe department staff was nice and courteous.
worst customer service ever!!!!! Walked into the store and was not greeted by anyone… walked to the counter to purchase a knife and a Hispanic gentleman was being assisted by a store employee Omar , omar didn’t acknowledge me Nor asked if I needed help. He went back to the front of the store and began greeting other customers in the way I should have been greeted, I said excuse me, can I get some help. He asked someone to man the front while he helped me when no one was there when I arrived. I asked Omar if I can see a few knives he said yes but I need to hold your identification. The gentleman before didn’t give Omar his ID this upset me. I’ve been going to this big 5 for 7 years, and felt like I didn’t belong…. I’ll never ever shop at any big 5!!!! And I’m only one person it don’t matter no one cares ….
Big 5 has everything you need for a fun family outdoor adventures : the staff is super friendly and helpful and their prices are very good. The coupons they send also gives you that extra savings which is super helpful.
I've been to this Big 5 before. Over the last few years I've spent several hundred dollars there. Usually I don't have any trouble getting service. I'm a senior lady with a cane on oxygen. People, for the most part are kind and helpful...even if they're NOT employees but this time was different from the moment I walked in the door. The cashier is immediately inside the door so when she asked the standard "can I help you?", I told her what I was looking for and asked where I might find it. I should've known it was going to be one of THOSE visits when she waved vaguely in the direction of the back corner and said, "oh, they're back there I think". Really? Okay. I guess I'll go back there and see if there's anybody back there who knows what's on sale this week. I DID look around on my own for a little while but I couldn't find it so off I went in search of a sales person because there wasn't one anywhere in the camping section. The young man I finally corralled had to search and didn't seem to know anything about them when we did find them. I was looking at tents and cots. There were no cots on display and the costs were almost identical so I asked him if he could take one out of the already opened box so I could see it. He told me No. They weren't allowed to do that. Then he turned around and walked away. Really? Guess he doesn't work on commission. Anyway, I got my Son who was looking at the tents to come over and help me pull the thing out a little so I could compare material and workmanship. It turned out there was a noticeable difference! I still needed a mattress for it which I couldn't find either but rather than ask the young man who felt like I was disturbing his day, I found a different young man in a jacket and tie. He was very polite and eager to help which is what you would expect since it's kinda their whole reason for being there. Anyway, the cashier managed to put her magazine down half a second before I set my purchases on the counter. I paid and bolted for the door. This was undeniably the worst visit to Big 5 I've had in several years. Hopefully the next time I go, the employees can at least ACT like they're there to do more than just draw a paycheck!
I wanted to sell my extra TV. I got there at 7:40 closes at 8:00and the gal who helped me was extremely friendly. She said "no rush...take your time". Got a great price.
Looking for a great pair of shoes with comfort and found them. I was so happy. And topped it off with some cool backpacks. Great prices!
Bad customer service. I had money to spend. No one greeted me. I was right next to two employees who only thought about what they were going to do with family in May. Oh well a sell gone out the door.
Nice staff, prices are good, always has different things on sale and clearance items.
Reps are very friendly and cordial. The store is Very clean and organized.
Called ahead for an item, they said it was in stock. Get to the store only to be told. They only have the floor model. Such a waste of my time and gas.
