Big Bend of the Colorado State Recreation Area

I've loved coming to Big Bend for over 10 years and I love bringing my kids here even more! It's such a quick drive from Vegas and it's only $10 to get in and park for the day. During them summer months make sure to get here early so you can either get a good spot close to the water or get one of the cabanas here. It's a great place if you just want to float the current or ride your jet skies!!!

Enjoying our time here on memorial day. Not as busy as I'd have expected. Water is cold; river current is fast so watch your little ones! The big bummer - the bugs.

My family of five stayed at BIG BEND OF THE COLORADO STATE PARK in Laughlin, Nevada for the days of 19-21 December 2017. This Nevada State Park is one of a few of Nevada’s parks that provides full hookups at each campsite. The park is located on Needles Highway near the casino town of Laughlin, Nevada and just across the Colorado River from Bullhead City, Arizona. The park has easy access from Needles Highway and is paved throughout. The campsites were spacious and well situated to afford distance from other campsites. There was a bathroom with showers available. And, within a short distance from the park there was a boat ramp and picnic tables alongside the Colorado River. Very beautiful! As senior residents of Nevada, we have the Senior Annual Park Pass allowing us discounted campground rates. We paid $10 nightly. We enjoyed our quiet and pleasant stay at BIG BEND OF THE COLORADO STATE PARK, especially since few others were there during our visit. And, we will return!

Loved my time here!!! It wasn't crowded at all which is what I was looking for. Heard it gets crazy busy in the summer though. Water is super chilly and beautifully clear. Sand is truly beach sand.

Beautiful location with direct acces to the river. Many options to enjoy the outdoors and activities involving the river. Parking lot with well maintained modern restrooms.
