Awesome mini-golf course. It was our first time trying a deluxe cabin, and I was very grateful when a surprise thunderstorm rolled through camp our first night there. Friendly staff, amazing selection of t-shirts, souvenirs, etc in the general store. They have professional cleaners running through the cabins and leaving fresh cleaning supplies which came in handy for us.
We enjoyed our short stay here. We were here for two nights. The amenities are really nice and worth the cost. We used the pool, mini-golf, and the dog park. Like most RV parks, the sites are smaller and close together; however, I felt that there was enough privacy. We were in a site with electric and water hookups. One aspect that hit it out of the park for us was the friendly and helpful staff who helped us by giving our truck a jump when the battery died. We would stay here again the next time we are in Billings.
I try to like the Billings KOA, but their sites are SMALL! For the "first KOA" it's not that great. You need a big rig to feel spacious. Small rig campers won't enjoy sitting outside. Their "spacious" patios are small slabs of concrete with a swing chair. Woohoo so exciting. Not. I've stayed here a week in March2021 and really liked it. It was quiet and cozy. In summer it gets LOUD and you feel crammed in. I was here for a night in August and couldn't wait to leave. Your neighbors hookups might as well be beneath your awning. Look. For a RV park... It is what it is. But this is KOA's home town park and it sucks. Dog park is excellent. Team and staff are friendly and nice. Verizon/T-Mobile are okay and you get a good enough signal for streaming or work.
Very nice campground but expensive for bringing in your own rig. We stayed after labor day with the pool and hot tub closed and the price did not reflect this. Very nice restrooms.
The campground itself is nice, some fun amenities and the bathrooms are well kept. Staff were also nice and helpful. My two problems with this place are the campsites which are basically in a wide open space. They are somewhat large sites which is nice, but there is absolutely no privacy in between sights if that's what you're looking for. The other bigger problem we had at this campground was an insane amount of moths??? We were in a tent sight which backed up to the Yellowstone river although no good views of the river, it's kind of far from the site with lots of trees blocking it, and we had a complete moth infestation. As we were going to bed night we found two in our rooftop tent, and in the morning woke up to our shoe bag absolutely filled with at least 20 moths. It had rained the night before and it was raining when we woke up so we packed up as quick as we could and left, there were moths all in our stuff. We got to our next campsite at Devil's Tower and when we opened up our rooftop tent, a hoard of moths came flying out. We then spent the next two hours at our campsite getting moths out of our tent, had take out all of our bedding and open it all up. It was such a pain. I've never seen so many moths in my life, and big ones at that they were probably an inch and a half long. If they somehow fixed this moth problem it would've been much more enjoyable.
We rented a cabin & it was the perfect size for my family. Very comfortable and roomy. Mini golf was so much fun, we also got to enjoy the pool which was very clean! This was one of the nicest KOA's we've stayed at. All the staff was wonderful! We will definitely come back!
We've stayed at this KOA a couple times. It's well kept well run, laundry is decently priced, pool, putt putt, hot tub included. It's a more expensive stop for us but we have a bigger rig and it's an easy in and out nights stay. Friendly staff and a nice little store.
OK. Guilty. I live 10 minutes away if I take the scenic route. But as far as "camping" goes, this is awesome. Friendly staff and great accommodations. Their mini golf course is legit. Good river access, great playground for the kids, acceptable wifi, clean pool and hot tub. In love. Will ALWAYS come back. Thanks KOA Holiday! See you soon!
First I want to say the staff at the desk gets 5 stars. They were great and nice and accommodating. The office bathrooms and showers get 5 stars. My husband used the shower and said they were great and clean. I used the bathroom and it was clean The rest of my experience was 2 stars. I had to use the other shower house next to the bbq food camper bc the office showers were full. GROSS! One had blood on the floor and toilet. It was hot a humid in the whole building. The shower curtain was grimy. And there was no toilet paper. Just looked like it had not be attended to all day. Or poorly attended to. Our camp site tent camping had trash on it from the neighboring site. It smelled like a chemical smell too. Couldn’t really place where the smell was coming from.
Campground is very nice. Clean with good amenities. Reason I am rating them a 3 which is generous is the grounds keeping staff started a weed blower before 730 am. It was continuous for a half hour. Why he was using a gas powered blower on a swimming pool is beyond me.
