Beautiful views and restaurant. From my understanding the Petroleum club recently brought on a new Chef and let me tell you, it was the best food I had ever eaten. The mushrooms were perfect, whatever they stuffed them with was to die for. The bread was soft throughout the entire meal, it was perfect, and the chicken Alfredo was the best Alfredo I have ever eaten! The servers were very polite and fun to deal with. They were attentive and top notch. I highly recommend the petroleum club for all your needs, from a simple date night to a business meeting. Way to go ladies and gentleman you are all doing amazing!
We had a party there last night . The food and service were outstanding. As well as beautiful view .
Did not have a good experience. We had shown up for a reservation and had waited at the host stand for about 5 minutes with out being greeted, my wife had to walk up to the bar and ask and tell them that we were there for a dinner reservation, and our reserved table was nowhere near ready. We had gotten our table and browsed at the menu, and had decided we wanted the NY strip steak. The server had come and asked what we’d like. Very spacey, very soft spoken. When asked what came on the salad, she said they were making it different and she didn’t know. I had requested my salad have no mushrooms on it, when it had arrived, there was mushrooms. No big deal. We ate our salads and waited for our food. Our food arrived and presentation was okay. Steak, asparagus, and crushed red potatoes the same kind you get at a successful restaurant here in town. The potatoes were mushy on the inside and hard on the outside, the asparagus was okay, and the steak tasted like straight propane. When we weren’t satisfied, we told our server and she called her boss twice to find out how to make it right. The bartender was nice in the beginning but had gotten a bad attitude when we weren’t satisfied. Giving 2 stars because the manager had not charged us.
Had a great time. Amazing view of billings. The staff were very friendly. Looking forward to my next visit. The creme burlee was delicious.
Such an amazing view at night! We went here for one of their special "club nights". Its been quite a few years since I've been here. Very nice upscale remodel. Pleasant staff, and stylish decor. We'll definitely be back.
I am usually an understanding person, but I have reached my limit with this establishment. Reserved for a wedding event and it had not been cleaned up from the night before, so we had to wait for them to clean. But the financial side of this company is the worst I've seen. My credit card was ran three times, thankfully my credit card company didn't let the last one go through. I had to mark the first one as fraud and am still waiting on credit for that, the second charge was not what we had agreed upon. I was potential going to be charged three times what the amount should have been, just a complete mess. The manager was informed multiple times and just stopped replying after a while, so we went to the board and promises were made but nothing done. Very very frustrating and still dealing with this. Caution to anyone looking to book an event here.
Easter brunch was amazing! Huge assortment of food....prime rib, eggs, salmon...etc! They have a new chef who was at the Rex for 20 years and a cook from the High Horse. Dinners are to die for and the views at night just make it magical. So glad I didn't give up on the Petroleum Club!!
Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it! There are no city views that can make up for the awful service or mediocre food we had tonight. We were there for a dinner function that was a pre-planned event for a group and they ran out of food for the group before everyone had been served not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES, and then a server ?can you call someone just bussing tables that? tried to tell me that people "took more than their fair share" which is just dumb because it was a buffet-style event — how could you not have enough food for a group that gave you a confirmed number of people? I was charged different amounts for the exact same drink and given different quantities on each round, and no one on staff there really seemed engaged or like they cared. I understand that the whole world is short staffed right now, but this felt like a huge waste of money for a spaghetti dinner I could have put together at my own home without the wait or the disappointment.
I'm embarrassed for this establishment. Beautiful views and beautiful place but completely drop the ball when it comes to service. We went on a date night and upon arrival we were asked if we would like water, we said that would be great and our server disappeared never bringing us our water, I asked to see a drink menu which apparently they dont have. I told her i was planning on having a martini of some sort and she just shouted to the bar tender "she will take a martini of any kind". She then said they are working on a menu, she then left again for another while. Once she returned she still gave us no menus she just opened her server book and listed off 7 or so options with absolutely no prices and said our side choices were carrots or broccoli. And said so what do you want, I looked at my husband in disbelief of how unprofessional our service was. I ordered halibut and my husband ordered a baseball cut steak. Food was okay at best. When we got our ticket it was over 100 dollars. Absolutely wouldn't recommend eating there and definitely cant believe that anyone would pay a membership.
This was bad from start to finish. My family and I used one of the rooms for a post funeral family gathering. Once arriving and getting sat down it all went down hill from there. It took 2.5 hours no exaggeration to get our food. 3 peoples food didn't come at all. The food that did come, was incorrect and frankly very poor quality. It got to the point where we hadn't seen a waitress in so long that we ended up filling our own water cups and collecting plates. While the food and experience was horrible, it went from bad to worse when working to sort out the bill. There was numerous inaccuracies and charges for things that weren't delivered or ordered. The waitresses, understanding it was an absolute train wreck, agreed to provide some compensation. The only problem is we were lied to. They were removing things that came with our meal side salad with the prime rib, and didn't even remove the drinks and meals that were never delivered like they had promised. Our group was mourning and didn't want to make a big deal out of it so figured we'd wait and get it sorted out come the following Monday. Sad to report I've called and left 3 messages to speak to a manager and have yet to hear back.
