I understand being short handed, but folks have no urgency! Especially the finger poke folks. Tim is more concerned with what’s going on around him than dealing with the person in the chair. School is out now. More than two people are needed for the finger pokes. Sad when you wait 45 min in line just for the finger poke. Please people… faster than 1st gear
Staff is top notch. It's the compensation that don't make sense. Few of us donors have discussed it and not sure why everyone gets paid differently from $90 to $130. Staff can't explain it only answer we get is it's a corporate thing. Than there's the rewards program. Worst I have ever seen. I go there religiously and for 6 months you get a reward of $45. You could just as well do away with it.
I cried for two hours after leaving this place. Let me back up and start from the beginning. I first visited on Saturday June 28th. I went through the entire process with the exception of donating. I had just had strong coffee and my heart rate was just over 100. Due to that I received a deferral for one day. That was fine with me as I understood why. My second visit was the following Monday. I was 5 minutes late therefore I was turned away, however my husband was more than 20 minutes late and they took him back I also called and told them I may be late, the woman said that would be fine. They gave me an appointment for the following day which was a Tuesday July 2nd. On this visit the gentleman checking me in said I needed my ID, I got it out then he said he did not need them. I said I'm so confused because you just asked for it. Then he explained the intake would need it, I said oh ok I understand. Then a manager came and got me took me to a room and immediately aftershe finished my intake turns to me and said a couple members of her staff said I was rude to them. After going through why the employees thought I was rude the woman told me she knows her staff better than I and that if I continued to be rude I'd receive a lifetime deferral. This manager didn't care to hear anything I was trying to say just went straight in to speaking to me as though I was a criminal. I was so floored and confused i couldn't really even defend myself if that makes sense. We just moved here and needed the money so I continued through with my appointment. When I got to the desk to have my iron and proteins checked my heart rate was at 118. This was 5 minutes after my "disciplinary management meeting" for the lack of a better term. So they had me take a 5 minute wait to be checked again. After 5 minutes my heart rate dropped to 99 and I was able to proceed with the process. As the donation process started I noticed the machine was set to 829ML. I'm a smaller woman who weighs under 150 and any other time I've donated they took less that 600ml. At this moment of donating the aggressive manager came over to my donation station, before she spoke I seen the opportunity to ask why they were taking so much? She said I was in the weight range for that donation amount and dismissed it. In another aggressive manner she said she wanted to see my lease again because someone on her staff said i was living in a hotel.. I rolled my eyes and explained that I was talking to a staff member about being new here that I mentioned how expensive things were here compared to where we moved from.. I also mentioned we were trying to financially bounce back due to breaking down so much during our 4 day move here as well as before finding our residence we had to stay in a hotel for $1600 monthly. Obviously with anyone in a scenario like this my heart rate started to shoot back up and and i was becoming dizzy. At that moment the manager called a tech over and they stopped the process at just under 400ml. After leaving the building I set my biolife debit card up and they paid me $40. I am new to biolife therefore I should have gotten $90 as advertised. All that I can say is this experience was so upsetting that I do not care to donate again. I'm 54 years old and have not been treated like a child in a very long time. My experience with them left me feeling degraded and attacked. Now let me say one last thing, donating plasma is supposed to help those in need. How can a person donate life saving plasma in a drama riden environment? Not classy Biolife, you and your employees should be ashamed. Also I read other reviews. I really don't care to have you send me some stupid link to further discuss this. I wouldn't believe one thing you said to me. Your employees cause drama and they're bullies. You cheat people out of their money.
Fast, professional and made me comfortable. Explained things very well and they were even ok with me being a little nervous about the needle and it definitely was not that bad!
Pretty sure they tell people at close their protein is low so they don't have to do more work. Had it happen multiple times. Usually when it's busy or at close.
Wait times have gotten MUCH better. Go early in the morning for the fastest experience. I always end up needing a buddy stick because the newbies usually have a ton of issues finding my veins or they overshoot it, miss it, etc. I do have scars from them moving the needle so much inside my arm. Other than that it’s clean, staff are friendly, and the money is good WHEN there are coupons. New donors and return donors make the most. I did find it odd recently they added photos to mirrors and on the machines asking for only 9-10 star reviews?
Everybody at the counter is very rude, first time of me being there and they treated me like im some unimportant person, like looking at me over the shoulder like theyre better than me, second time i go they said my heart beat was too fast, that never happens to me, they referred me to medical for that and a bruise, but like she couldnt even finish talking, she just said "im reffering u to medical for the bruise anyways... and... yeah... just go wait over there", i left without seeing medical
Staff is very friendly and professional. They always great me with a smile and usually call me by name. The facility is clean.
Claire and her team did a great job managing the floor on a busy weekday night despite being short staffed all phlebs were kind quick and courteous. Good job Claire and team!
They have changed my promotion amount 2x in a week and I have screenshots and emails to prove it and yet when I called biolife she said hold on she would check and then hung up on me and now biolife won't take my calls
