LOVE this place! It's small but they had great finds! I specifically wanted a decanter and they had a great one that happened to be 50% on Sunday. Also found a gorgeous vintage Pyrex bowl which was also 50% off! Fiancé found a great book for only $2 that would normally cost $30! Staff was super friendly as well. We will definitely be back!
What the heck happened here? New employees ? High prices?! I used to love this place for the nice items, and REAL THRIFT prices. Today went in and was shocked to see some pretty high prices for thrift stores. I have been vol. and shop charity thrifts for 30 years. The female employee older - no disrespect intended - may or may not be new as I am usually in the shop later in the day - was UNFRIENDLY and downright chilly. I hope they figure this out.. there is a lot of competition for thrift items these days and this small shop had it right before... I am willing to spend more here because of the birds.. but today I left with nothing but a bummed out feeling.
The staff members here are friendly and helpful. The space is not overly large, but the arrangement inside makes sense and there is plenty of room to navigate through a full complement of departments from books and clothes to furniture, other decor and the usual assortment of thrift store electronics. I'm giving this store a full five because if its cause. The Birds of Prey Foundation does great work and this money helps keep it in business. If you're going thrifting and plan to hit the huge thrift store next to it, stop at the Birds of Prey store first. I've taken home some great finds from there.
Truly a special thrift store. All proceeds go to support wildlife and restore Birds to the wild. I got a nice National Geographic magazine that reminded me of the Air Force Academy. I also found a really special set of ear rings for my toddler niece. I did not know this place was here right next to the Arc Thrift Store. But there it was, a rare gem. The young woman managing the store was awesome. And boy did they have a lot of other neat stuff there too! Hey, support the Access Fund would you? And if you don't do it already please support the Red Cross as well... Cheers! Hart
Really friendly staff, been shopping for a long time, git everything fir my baby he is now almost 8 and still he likes ti buy here, some times its slightly high, but knowing their job with birds its worth it.
Beautiful store, excellent bargains, friendly, helpful staff. My mom is visiting from Texas, and it's one of her favorite places we've been.
It is really worth it to run in here before going to the ARC. I often find something worthy and sometimes it’s half off. I like to donate here too. They are always appreciative.
It's only worth going in here if you can't find what you're looking for literally next door at the Arc. Much smaller selection at slightly higher prices. However, it is a more relaxing/less overwhelming shopping experience than the Arc.
Great cause, with a good vareity of merchandise and really reasonable prices. The women's clothing is mostly for older women, but they have a tank tops for just $1!
I love the Birds of Prey Foundation Thrift Store! They always have unique wares. They also do a BOGO where you can buy one thing and get another item of equal or lesser value!
