Aside from having to walk all the way back to my vehicle on the 4th floor of a parking garage just because we weren’t allowed to have our own cups and purses, it was a pretty amazing experience! The staff could definitely use some extra help though. This place was slammed for winter jam 2024 but overall the ladies did a good job. Thank you for the understanding, respect and time you gave to everyone that attended this event! Can’t wait for our next one!
I took my son here for Comic-Con 2023 and was not disappointed. We were able to purchase military tickets right at the gate without any issues and were able to walk around for hours enjoying the convention. They make the aisles in the convention extremely wide not only for the crowds but for ease of access for those in wheelchairs. The venue is completely wheelchair accessible, and the bathrooms are super clean. The price of one adult ticket was $40 but with a military discount, it came down to $30, and children 10 and under were able to get in for free. The BJCC Convention Center does offer a parking deck which I would suggest you use. Street parking around the BJCC can cost up to as much as $20.
Need to breathe is awesome and downtown has truly been uptown for us. I felt very safe and the area is great to park and get in. Well lit. Great people. Great security.
This is place is an Amazing place for a a convention center or anything like that. very nice well kept up. if i had a huge gathering and had to do it in Birmingham this is the place!!!
Me and my birth mother attended the Home show. 70% of stalls were selling flooring. Jefferson civic center has a faulty banister exiting the opposite side by legacy arena at bottom half of stairs.
We went for O'REILLY WORLD OF WHEELS car show. Excellent facility and location. Parking was $30.
From my first World of Wheels to the 2023 Alabama Comic Con, BJCC has never failed as an event venue. If you want to have an indoor event or concert in the Tragic City, this is the place.
Park in the orange section $30 as of Feb 2024 & you are right there at the entrance. Get seats in sections 110 or 111 as they are closest to the entrance. The wome''s restroom is also right by the entrance to sections 110/111. And one of the merch tables is usually set up to the left when you walk in. Of course, there's different food options all around & may have to walk to find what you're looking for. Here's the view from Section 110, seat L1
We were there for the Matt Maur and We the Kingdom Christmas Concert. We were there very early, but saw a line already started so we joined. As it started moving we were passed through security and tickets scanned before we realized we had gotten in line for the meet and greet. The situation was handled in a very friendly and professional manner. The staff made sure we were remembered and passed through with minimal fuss and acknowledged with smiles when leaving as well. The concert pairing of bands, acoustics, lighting and atmosphere were wonderful. The seating was the smallest bit cramped on leg room, but comfortable. Parking was plentiful and close by, and the $20.00 fee was worth it. Concessions were reasonable, service with a smile. A delicious saucer sized soft pretzel and 20 oz bottled soft drink was $15.99, but be prepared with a credit or debit card as parking and concessions were cashless.
The convention center was clean and large. Easily accessible. The staff was friendly. Parking was $20. The reason it only got 4 stars. We went to Brickfest which was a complete waste of money. I didn't judge the convention center based on that. Brickfest was a zero stars event.
