Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School

This school is garbadge my uncle brother went here and he hated it this school is bad you should go to a school with class like MSM or Deer Creek.

Four years. I went to this school for four. Whole. Years. I studied my butt off to keep my grades high enough to graduate and i even helped start the band program back up. The whole community seemingly liked me, dubbing me "Frank the Tank." Do you know what the school did in return? In return for spending countless hours to keep up with my peers? In return for devoting my personal time towards an instrument I barely like? In return for standing up to other high school students who verbally attacked our school? In return for cleaning up the psychological mess that is the average student psyche at the school for being told "you're not good enough" (-Actual quote from one of the teachers). They tossed me aside. Threw me away like I was some cheap burger wrapper. After devoting so much time there, they've told contacts of mine to tell me how I am no longer allowed on school grounds. Believe me when I say this, if you want a high school that truly values the individual, do NOT attend this school. The band returned home from a trip at five in the morning. What did we get? One hour extra to sleep in before going to school. Do you know how often smaller programs like band and orchestra and dance and so much more get overshadowed by sports? "Equality" is not a word at this school. I would've thought that after all the drama with the "Hitler Yearbook Quote" the school would've straightened up its act. Spoiler alert: it didn't. They just keep trying to sweep real problems under the rug. Again, do not attend if you want a school that truly cares for every individual.

This is a Catholic High School, but you don't have to be Catholic to go here. And it is reputed to be one of the finest schools in Oklahoma City. If you are looking for a good Christian place to place your child, a place where you know they will be taught Christian values, perhaps you should look at Bishop McGuinness.

Love this school! The staff truly care about its students, their families and all of their futures. Cannot wait to start the school year here!
